“Reasonable price, great location”

The owners were a very friendly couple who were very attentive and caring. Great location along the river for children: play area, toasted marshmellows in the evening,simple CB in the morning. Much less traffic leaving Story Land by heading north.

“Definitely Stay There Again”

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at this lodge. We liked the location's closeness to restaurants and skii resort, as well as other family entertainment places. We especially liked the warm feeling from the decoration and fireplace in the gathering room. Meeting and talking with Alex (owner) was especially rewarding. Our room was very nice and clean and had a nice view of the river. Over all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again!!!!!

The female staff were very helpful! We were planning on going night skiing at an area that ended up being closed for the afternoon, and when we called Covered Bridge they found us another area that was open and even gave us the phone number and address. The one man who works there was a bit eccentric and it seemed a little racist as well... but overall a great weekend stay!

“You Can't Believe Everything You Read.”

Before we left for our vacation, I decided to read some reviews about where we were staying to kind of get an idea about the place. The reviews were 50/50. I read some bad reviews, especially about the owner(s) and the cleanliness of the hotel. The owners were nothing but nice to us and very, very helpful. The hotel room and bathroom, as well as all of the common areas, were very clean and well kept up. The one negative thing about this hotel would have to be the beds. They were less than comfortable, but again very clean. The location was great, and there was plenty to do if you wanted to hang at the hotel. The Ellis River is in the back yard and there is a fire pit, grill for cooking, a swing set for kids and an inground pool. There is also a hot tub that is open during the winter months. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, especially if you're on a budget. The rates and accommodations are definitely comparable-basically you get what you are paying for.

“don't beleive everything u read.”

we spent new yrs. eve at the covered bridg river view lodge and had a great time. Don't listen to the other reviews I read them and had some reservations about going but we did and it was totaly different than what I read. The room was beautiful, it was rite on the river with a nice balcony full kitchen with the table already set, a couch,tv and a working fireplace. It had a forty inch tv in the bedroom. all in all it was a great plac to stay even in the summer. I WOULD GO BACK AGAIN ANYTIME

“Clean & quaint, nice staff, good comparative value”

Hotel was clean & quaint; balcony with slider, quilts, x-mas decorated common room. Bathroom very clean, some of hotel is renovated, some is old - you can ask for renovated room. Hallway smells musty. Nice staff, helpful if you ask for advice. Firepit, river, barbecue & picnic tables nice for evening. Good location and great value for the price compared to others in the area. Pub across the street good for dinner.

“DO NOT STAY HERE”

This place should not even be listed as potential lodging by a reputable site like Expedia. We left under police escort because we feared for our safety. The officer said there have been multiple cases like ours, and I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews before I booked. After our experience, I believe everything bad you read in the reviews, and none of the good things.

“Believe all the other reviews in that this might be the worst lodging experience of your life”

The absolute worse experience of trying to reside in what looked like a rural, cozy ldge. We never stayed due to a physical confrontation from one of the owners. Can't go into details due to current legal case, but beware! The other people of the town (restaurants, chamber of commerce, police, shops) are very pleasent and oppolgetic for this bad apple.
