“Wonderful historic hotel”

We loved the fact that there was a gameroom for the children to play in as well as a tavern area and quaint fireplace seating for adults to relax. The grounds were lovely and the kids enjoyed sledding outside of the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful! A nice, relaxing hotel experience for the whole family!

“Eagle Mountain House”

Probably the most comfortable bed I have had in a hotel. Very firm mattress. Immaculate room; quaint bathroom (nice wallpaper, etc. Not a high-tech place, but rather one for getting a feeling of what a hotel stay felt like many years ago. Friendly staff, though we did not have much interaction - kept to ourselves. Excellent location for enjoying the White Mountains...great restaurants nearby and many activities within short driving range. Reasonable rates.

“Excellent service in a nice hotel but...”

This hotel is the best of its kind for the price. The hotel is very clean and service is very good. However, the hotel is intended to charge for children and breakfast, which expedia website doesn't show these charges. So if you have children to travel with you, don't be surpised that hotel want to charge more when you show up with your kids. Although the hotel did honor the expedia rate to us at last, but it was not the best situationthat you want to run into at night. I hope that Expedia could contact the hotel to straight this out.

“Wonderful Historic Hotel”

The Eagle Mountain House has a huge verandah with rocking chairs looking out on the mountains and a golf course right across the road. There is a beautiful mountain stream that you can walk down on your way into town. The restaurant serves an excellent complimentary full breakfast. A great place to stay. Steeped in history.

“Vintage Beauty”

Eagle Mountain House is a vintage hotel in a beautiful environment. Tucked in the Mt. Washington Valley, mountains surround this amazing property. The narrow valley has enough room for a golf course, a creek that runs through it, and this old hotel built in the early 1900's that still holds many of its original charms like the old elevator that our kids likened to a ride at Disney due to the challenge of manually operating the double doors at each floor. The room was fine. The beds are super comfortable. The recently renovated baths was small but accommodating. And as mentioned before, the view was spectacular. I highly recommend this hotel property for a weekend getaway or even a week's stay. I plan to return with my family many times.

“Old-fashioned elegance”

Very comfortable, relaxed, home-like atmosphere. Food in dining room was excellent, and very large portions. X-country skiing just across the street with varied terrain from beginner to expert.

“Great old style hotel, good for family or couples”

Although an older building, the grounds and interior were very well kept up, and offered many amenities, from a restaurant, to swimming pool, to game room and jacuzzi. We had a great time. Our room was small but so comfortable, and we loved the feel of the old hotel.
