“This palce is old and dirty”

“Very Disappointed”

The motel is very old and not very well kept up. The Continental breakfast was awful. Our room was clean but musty smelling. We would have found another place but it was late when we arrived so we tolerated it for the night!

Carpet in the room and hallway is old. Location very convenient. Breakfast is better than expected.

Hotels on MAIN ST would be better for dinner and shopping purpose.

“our 4th stay here”

clean, well kept. Breakfast included, nothing fancy but not bad and the food is fresh. Rooms are clean, motel is centrally located. Pool and hot tub were a huge hit w/the family. We tried another motel in the same town last year and regretted it. I'd certainly recommend it.

“Don't stay in the motel-style portion”

I was very disappointed to not get a room in the two-story main building as it looked much nicer than the motel-style building. The heat was off in my room when I arrived and it was cold out! The baseboard heat didn't work and I had to call the desk to find out the AC unit doubled as the heat, but it was in another room from the beds. The room was dingy with a strange decor. The hairdryer was partially melted. The only good news was the shower was hot.

The area is spectacularly beautiful and I would highly recommend!

“NH Travelor”

Hotel was nice for price location nice. Would prob. visit again due to location and great pool..kids loved it! I would just check sheets PRIOR to turning in for the night!

“Looking forward to going back to area”

Accommodation was as expected, room and facilities appropriate for price paid, only disappointment was concerning the breakfast, food was as described, continental but unfortunately there was only 5 tables and chairs to sit all the guests staying, so ended up going out for breakfast. Convenience to all the attractions in the area was very good.

Area recommendations

Lincoln and North Woodstock is in a beautiful area, surrounded by mountains, lots of lovely reasonably quiet roads to drive with lots of stopping off places, to admire the scenery. As we are new to the area and this was our first visit to New Hampshire, we hope to visit again and again.

“Disappointment in Lincoln/White Mountain area”

This is a lousy motel - wouldn't even qualify it as a hotel. The bathroom was dirty and "tired". The room smelled moldy and the AC ran noisy. The weather turned bad after the first night so we couldn't enjoy any of the local attractions. When I went to check out early and ask for a refund for the 2nd night, they said they could not honor that. I will never stay at this place again

“Expected Better from Econolodge”

We booked two rooms and we were given two nearby room and told they have openings from inside. But that was not to be as the receptionist did a mistake and she didn't give us another option too. The rooms had all the amenities as expected and only flaw was that bathroom comode was not clean. They should surely keep this in point to have those installed new. Also they mentioned that they charge 10cents per local call and 25cents per min for long distance calls. But they charged more than 50 cents. Also no tower for t-mobile cell phones which is really bad.

“There are much better places”

This motel is located on Rt. 3 miles from the ski areas and is a real throw back to the 60s. Unfortunately for me, I was skiing in the area on a Friday and could not find other accommodations for a single overnight. It was a true motel with each room opening directly into the parking lot. This meant that when anyone pulled up their car lights came glaring in your window. The walls were paper thin and sounds from the other rooms were all too audible. The section I was stuck in was built for Summer use. It was built directly on a slab and the floor was so cold it hurt your feet. The room was cold , dank, and extremely drab and depressing. To get to the indoor pool you had to go outside. You had to cross the parking lot to the front office and get a towel. And of course you had to go outside again when you were all nice and wet on the way back. In the end, when yet another late-arriving family came banging in at around 11 pm and woke me up for the third time, I packed up, got a large coffee and drove back to civilization. I ski in the area quite often and have stayed at other much more modern, clean, dry, warm, quiet, and comfortable accommodations that are more convenient to the skiing for about the same money. So plan ahead and don't get stuck here.
