Overnight stay in Autumn foliage.Posted Oct 24, 2014
Pros: Free drinks and snacks and huge breakfast. And a very friendly owner, who even gave us some postage stamps.
Cons: Bathroom was small but not sure you can do a lot about this.
The owner is very helpful, though I'm not a great fan of animals. The free drinks and snacks and pre prandial wine were welcome. Our room was upstairs, not very big and the toilet lid was in two parts. The toilet was cramped, had to sit sideways almost.

Great friendly B&BPosted Oct 19, 2014
Location: Great location for viewing the fall. Mount Washington and the Cog Railway are a must. Would highly recommend Echo Beach, very scenic.
A warm welcome by the host on arrival. Snacks and drinks available throughout the stay. A quite and gorgeous location. Very clean, good sized room and comfortable bed. Very quiet location. Bathroom small but adequate. Arrived late and host recommended a good place to eat. This was McGrath's which turned out to have excellent food, friendly hosts and good selection of beers. Breakfast was excellent and possibly one of the best we had during our 2 week stay in the US. Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone planning to stay in North Conway.

Relaxing B&B in White MountainsPosted Oct 7, 2014
Cons: Lighting in room, more responsive thermostats (if possible)
This B&B, just off the main road in North Conway, NH, is a perfect escape about 2:30-3 hours north of Boston. Situated between numerous peaks of the White Mountains, you are minutes from dozens of hiking trails and, in the winter, ski areas (although these are a little further). The staff here, Rob and one or two of his employees, were pleasant and attentive throughout out stay. Breakfast was top class (better than any of the food at the restaurants we visited in town), as he served 3 courses with coffee, OJ, etc. all included in your stay.He puts out snacks, wine in the evening, and has coffee and tea available 24/7. The front porch overlooks the main road, but beyond that are several beautiful peaks which you can enjoy watching the sun set behind. The other porch is off the main entrance and also offers a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a beverage or to sit and chat with the other guests. Our room (Hollywood suite) was great, although the walls were relatively thin, as you could hear people moving around. The only suggestion I can make would be to update some of the lighting in the rooms as it was pretty dark with all the lights on. The heat was not working properly at first, as our room was a bit uncomfortable, but after airing it out with open windows and turning on the fans, it was fine. I can't say enough about Rob; he was an absolutely great host, without being overbearing as is sometimes the case at a B&B. And his collie Brody also adds to the appeal!

Comfortable, fun stayPosted Sep 9, 2014
Nice Victorian inn located on a quiet street yet close to restaurants & shops. Owner Rob is friendly, funny & quite accommodating. Makes some of the best breakfasts we've had. Nice seating locations inside & outside, wine in the afternoon, with coffee & tea & snacks anytime. Great asset is his "helper" Broady, the cutest Sheltie we ever saw. Very well behaved & will help get rid of your leftover breakfast meats.

3 day GetawayPosted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Location, friendly Inn Keeper and the Breakfasts! Te side porch overlooking the mountains was relaxing.
Cons: A little more room to park.
Location: Down the street from Cathedral Ledge, Diana's Bath and the Cog Railroad. Lots of shopping, trails to hike, and the scenery is very nice and relaxing.
The Red Elephant Inn was a very warm & friendly experience for my husband and myself. It was nicely furnished and had easy access to the main roads and attractions. The breakfasts were terrific! My husband never eats quiche and had it both mornings! A complimentary glass of wine at night was very welcoming.
