“Kid oriented, perfect for our vacation!”
We enjoyed our time here. The room is not luxurious - bedding a bit faded, furniture and walls a bit scuffed, mattresses decent but flat, not fancy. The room was clean, there was absolutely no smokey smell (all rooms are non-smoking), there was a fridge, microwave and hair dryer. There was an AC unit in the wall but we never turned it on because the August weather was lovely and we slept with the windows open. Our room had two doors, one to the parking area and the other that opened onto a very large grassy yard with picnic tables, grills and fire pits, and Adirondack chairs to sit in. In the evenings, families would sit outside, light fires, the kids would run around and play outside. It was great. Our kids also enjoyed the playground and the pool. The included breakfast was make-your-own waffles or sugary cereals. There were juice/punch beverages (ex: Sunny D) and really bad coffee. We thought the waffles were good. The staff seemed friendly and the location was very good for Storyland and nature-related attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and general stores a short drive away. We would come back again. The only thing in need of serious improvement was the coffee!
“Not on the ball”
They could have saved grace with me if they called me during the day to let me know I should find another hotel. Extremely uncool to wait until I check in at 5pm to tell me there is no running water. I was traveling by myself with a small child on vacation week. What if we couldn't find another room?
