Great value.

Pros: The location and the price are the best features of the hotel. The large common room was also nice.
Cons: The bedding was a bit past its "expiration date". New mattresses and pillows would be nice, (but they really weren't too bad).
Location: Location can't be beat! Super convenient to the down town area. And N. Conway is my favorite Northern New England town, there is so much to see and do
I needed to book 4 rooms for a large group, so I was looking for a hotel with a reasonable price. I chose the White Trellis motel due to the price, location (convenient to downtown N. Conway) and room layout. They had a variety of useful layouts including rooms with a queen bed and 1 or twins, perfect for family groups. While the hotel is old, it is very clean and maintained very well. Everything worked, no leaky faucets or broken lights, this is a well maintained motel. If you want luxury, look elsewhere. But if you want good, no frills accommodations at a reasonable price, the White Trellis motel will serve you well!

Nice and simple, bad location - near a main road.

Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Nice room decoration.
Cons: Move it off the highway.. Lower prices, add a breakfast facility.
Location: The area is beautiful - white mountains, a lot of nice hikes.
Rooms are nice and cosy, beds were too small, not very comfortable for a family. I ordered for 2 nights but canceled 2nd night because of its bad location - just near the road. Was very noisy and unpleasant. Pricy - We stayed for Sunday night and they charged an outrageous rate of 195$ which is very high for under average place + located near a main road and noisy. Staff was ok.

Not worth a fraction of what you will pay

Posted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Proximity to downtown North Conway
Cons: everything
After mandatory fees I paid $200.00 for a $50.00 experience. The only thing the motel has going for it is it's proximity to downtown North Conway. The bed was as firm as cardboard and the pillows were as flat as a sheet of paper. The beer-bottle cap opener installed on the wall in the bathroom was a classy touch. If you have to stay there bring your own pillows.

White Trellis motel-Works in a pinch

Posted Dec 28, 2011
Pros: Warm, clean, desk clerk, 1st floor - good for pets. Wanted the business so she bent the rules.
Cons: No atmosphere, bath uncomfortable as they cut up bath mats for standing on only 2 windows, 1 facing main rd, 1 faces the storage garage in back yard.
Location: Noisy, on main rd. Had to keep tv on because of traffic. Close to restaurants & shopping. No real view to speak of. Did have Xmas lites on motel.
Got to the motel & the desk clerk informed me that I did not have a pet friendly nor smoking rm. She claimed Expedia never informed of the requirements.Rms are non-smoking. She claimed to chrge $20. for pets. When I told her I'd have to find another place she said I wouldn't find 1 for that $. Every place in No.Conway & near areas had vacancies. I explained some were cheaper & some were the same $ & also had more to offer. Told her I would be contacting Expedia. She claims to have had other issues w/Expedia. Not wanting to lose the business she said I & dog could stay. I asked if there was a mirowave, fridge & tv, coffee pot in rm. It had only a fridge. Wanting me to stay she ran around finding all the necessities to keep me, including an ashtray (asked if I could try to smoke outside which I agreed to). The rm was clean tho being old bathroom floor was weak in some places, the fridge is set up next to the radiator, Not all outlets were 3 prong friendly which limited use of fridge, micro etc.Moved things around to my liking. Tho outside butt cans are available people used ground around some rms. so that the area was littered w/butts. All in all the rm was warm, clean & comfortable & the lady went out of her way to accommodate me, including giving me a little bigger rm., it had a twin& queen bed, twin for dog? She was very pleasant, & she did go out of her way to keep the business but for the cost I think I would have gone to some other places I checked out while I was there.

Great trip back to the past, every thing in room very out dated&no hot hot water

Owner is very personable and knowledgeable about the area.the motel is clean but Spartan and1960's dated. Better suited for hikers, climbers&skiers not people looking for any creature comforts other than cleanliness.

Overpriced!!

Location: The area is excellent being in the mountains. Met a moose on a trail
The motel is well-situated in North Conway but did not live up to the advertisement. A breakfast was provided but not available until 8.15 preventing an early start. Then it consisted of a piece of cake with no choice. We booked out immediately and found a better place costing only a little more The description was less than accurate

Good friendly Motel

Posted Oct 15, 2011
This is a nice Motel. Built with much use of wood which makes it a lovely period motel, which for us added character and was a nice change from ultra modern styled buildings. The only hiccup was we found an extra booking charge added to the expected bill, but when we challenged this, it was readily refunded. The lady owner is polite and helpful. Lovely woods to the rear. Would stay again.

Nice hotel and location, Nice staff

The hotel is in a nice location. It depends on at what time you start from your hotel. The traffic on Rt 16 gets busy during the long weekends (Columbus Day) hence it is a good idea to leave a bit early. It is not a problem with the hotel, but with the local traffic in general. Otherwise, the hotel is decent.

White Trellis in North Conway (NH) not recommended

Posted Oct 11, 2011
This motel is not up to its promises. Reservation changed without consent from double bed to double bed and single bed. Wifi does not work in the room, you have to go to the lobby with your computer. No fridge, no no microwave (contrary to ad). No table or chair. "Continental breakfast" consists of percolator coffee and cookies in wraps, starting at eight. "No smoking" room reeks of cigarette.
