Large hotel near a golf course

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Location
There was nothing particularly outstanding about our stay; all aspects were fine but not special. There was an uninvited six-legged visitor in the bathroom, but I suppose that could happen anywhere. While not tall, the area of the hotel is very large, so you could have a very long walk to your room (we did). We did not take advantages of amenities such as the swimming pool (which looked beautiful) or the restaurant. Valet parking was reasonable and well executed.

Location: Good location near the MTA.
Old hotel in a pretty nice location. Good setup to play tennis and golf. The gym is bigger then normal hotel gym.

Great for golf, tennis & swimming!

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: The room was spacious. The food was very good. The lobby was inviting. Beautiful grounds. Nice for activities.
Cons: Workers were good, not very good or excellent.
Location: I would have liked to have more time to visit some of the area locations.
I like a nice view but I was not given a nice view from my window, even when requested. Most importantly, this hotel has long hallways which require a lot of walking. It is constructed laterally/horizontally rather than vertically like other hotels. It was a little challenging to learn your way around.

Very nice hotel. Great price for it!

Very nice hotel. I would have expected more money for a place like this. Although, we had to pay for the breakfast (buffet), it was very good.

Groot, onpersoonlijk

Good Hotel with Lots of Potential

Posted Mar 4, 2015
Pros: Close to White Plains airport. Shuttle service. Exercise facilities. Pub food was quite good.
Cons: Rooms need updating. Wallpaper was peeling off bathroom walls. Colors were drab. Lighting was inadequate. Wake up call did not happen.
Location: Very convenient to airport with shuttle service.
I stayed at the Doral Arrowwood because it was close to the airport and my meetings. I found it to be an average hotel but with some nice amenities for those who exercise. I stayed in two different rooms, both of which were quite large. Wallpaper was peeling off the bathroom walls and the room clearly could use an update, but it was very clean and comfortable. The hotel has lots of potential but could use a makeover. It has the potential to be a first rate property.

Nice hotel. Could use a few easy upgrades.

The hotel was very nice We went there for a family over night to go swimming and have dinner. The hotel room was roomy and a good size for a family of 4. The bathroom was TINY and the water kept going for burning hot to Luke warm. Not great when you have kids 4 and 7. Very disappointed in that. The pool was nice but no room for people to sit and watch your kids swim. They need to get rid of the lounge chair and get better seating for those not in the pool. No one needs a lounge chair in February. The staff was great overall. We at at the pub for dinner. The service was so slow and the food was just ok and very expensive for what it was. Overall it was a nice break from the long cold days this winter.
