I want a full financial refund!Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: The receptionist when we checked in.
Cons: The entire hotel needs to be remodeled, updated, and there needs to be staff working in the lobby at all times.
Location: White Plains, NY. There was plenty of choices when it came to dining out.
The hotel was overpriced. The hotel was old, the accommodations were outdated, the beds were horribly uncomfortable, and the key too the door would not work. My wife had to walk across the street when we got back to the hotel at night two separate times to try and get a working key. It took her 45 minutes. The reason she had to walk across the street was because there was no hotel staff working, however there were hotel staff at the nursing home across the street which is owned by the same company.

Dump near downtown White PlainsPosted Mar 10, 2015
Terrible accommodations and no available WiFi. Sole internet connection is wired to the room and costs $10 per day. Except for its location, there is nothing to recommend Esplanade.

Cheap hotel in a great location right next to the bars. A lot of space.

no volveríaPosted Jan 9, 2015 on Hotels.com
No le sobra nada. No vale la pena ir. Entiendo que cualquier otra opción en W Plainns, será mejor que esta. Por suerte estuvimos solo una noche para tomar un vuelo en el aeropuerto local. Dos noches en este hotel seria demasiado

Esplanade needs a makeoverPosted Dec 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Water came out rusty...no parking had to pay extra 10 dollars to park in a parking garage, headboard to bed was broken and kept moving, and the phone was broken and kept beeping like we had a message but there was no message ...and glasses in kitchen area looked dirty....bed not that comfortable and flimsy pillows ...other than that it was ok lol

It was ok...Posted Dec 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed in June 2014. I checked in at the reception desk in the adjoining senior residence (connected by a breezeway). Pros: The staff was very friendly. The room was ok. The bed was clean and neatly made. The TV and hair dryer worked fine. Cons: The decor was very dated. The carpet was worn/stained and should be replaced. Only one of the pair of outlets on the outside wall worked. There was construction going on near the hotel and walking in the evening was vaguely creepy, but didn't seem unsafe. I was very alarmed that when I stood in the shower I could see through the vent into the bathroom next door... Overall-I only needed the room for a night, but I wouldn't stay there longer than that.
