Top notch hotel in Westchester CountyPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Loved having a drink in the lobby bar next to to the fireplace. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Large bathrooms as well.
Cons: It is geared more towards a business hotel, so the rooms are very corporate-like.
Location: There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping in downtown White Plains, so walking around town is very easy from this hotel's location.
We had a lovely stay-cation for my boyfriends birthday. We visited the gorgeous spa for a couples massage as well. We couldn't be happier

Great HotelPosted Oct 20, 2013
Great Hotel. All staff extremely nice. And the facilities have been very well maintained. Only downside was lunch in the Lobby Lounge one day. Staff was very nice, but service was unbelievably slow and disjointed. That's the only reason for four stars (instead of five).

Easily the best hotel in White PlainsPosted Aug 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent decor, huge beautiful bathroom. The double beds were a little small than expected. However, the big draw-down was the wine glasses in the room. We had already poured our wine when we noticed the stench from the glasses. A sour, disgusting smell. The glasses had not been cleaned, but instead wiped down with some dirty dish rag. It was absolutely disgusting and put a damper on this stay at a gorgeous hotel with a beautiful indoor pool.

As expectedPosted Aug 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was great, as one would expect! Location to the train (10 minute walk)was an added bonus. In Grand Central in less than 30 minutes. Location to shopping is also outstanding. Starbucks also right around the corner. Staff were extremely helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Pros: The cleanliness and professionalism of the staff.
Location: We went to dinner at nearby Italian restaurant, Mulinos and the food there was great.
My friend and I stayed two nights and we had a ball. The room was amazing and the staff are the absolute best!!

"Beautifully Blessed Birthday Weekend"Posted Jul 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Ritz-Carlton is an extremely accommodating, sophisticated hotel with a professional staff! We had indoor dining for breakfast both days, and it was beyond our expectations-I felt like a movie-star:0) In addition, the door men and our server Marlene were very courteous. The room was a good size, updated, and the bathroom was simply gorgeous-marble throughout with separate tub and shower and double sinks. The bathrobes were plush and comfortable. Our only regret is that we had to leave, but, GOD willing, we'll return again...thanks for making my birthday weekend enjoyable...please keep up the professionalism because it does count!

Beautiful Oasis in Westchester CountyPosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: The location. The very attentive service. The restaurant downstairs. I loved the bathroom and the pillows/blankets in the room.
Cons: Nothing really. Perhaps more character to the decor of the bedroom? But that's not a big thing.
Location: Lots of shopping. Movie theaters, dining. You can walk to Metro North train (White Plains is an express stop) so NYC access is easy peasy.
If you're a discerning traveler who is used to first class service - your perspective might vary. As for me - I'm used to medium cost boutique hotels with limited amenities. So, treating myself to The Ritz Carlton Westchester was a deep, exhilarating breath of fresh air. The staff really made me feel special. They are attentive to your every need. I had a deluxe king room on a lower floor. It was immaculately clean, and very zen. The pillows and blankets were so soft and comfy. Perhaps the decor was a bit corporate hotel-like - not too much character, but the bathroom was amazing. Spa-like rain showerhead and a separate deep bathtub. Although it was expensive, room service is available - a welcome sight since the days of room service is going bye bye. Wish I had money & time for the spa. I used their beautiful gym kitted out with water and wet towels to cool down after your workout. (It was horribly hot & humid the weekend I was there - so lemonade/ice water was - thankfully - everywhere - in gym and lobby). On a personal note: I'm originally from Westchester and NYC. Back in 2006, I lived across the street at City Center when the location of the Ritz and Residences was only a hole in the ground. I watched it being built floor by floor until I saw the new tenants move in - right from my 15th floor window. Now that the hotel is fully established - I just had to stay here. And I will be back!

The hotel and room was great. I was a little turned off with the service at check in but the certainly made up for it at check out with friendly receptionist. It was worth every penny
