Glacier National Park areaPosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was a different kind of place than what we were use to, but not bad at all. I had heard that they didn't have hair dryers in the room, so I brought my own, not a problem at all. A little weird staying in a room with a queen size bed as well as bunk beds for just the 2 of us.

Beautiful surroundings!Posted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: It's location to Whitefish and the mountains. The staff and the food, too.
Nice hotel on Big Mountain in Whitefish, MT. Mixed in with a variety of other places to stay - all of which were much more expensive. The surroundings in this area are Beautiful! Outstanding service from all of the employees - especially Adam. The hotel lets guests use their freezer, refridgerator, microwave, etc. The breakfasts are outstanding - complete with great coffee, teas, juices, variety of breads, yogurts, fruits, etc. Not to mention their daily entree - we had bacon & pancakes one day, diced ham&eggs with hashbrowns another. Cooked to perfection. The rooms are on the small side - but ours was cozy and clean, so we were very happy. Excellent hiking trail right outside the hotel "Danny on Trail". Watched the gondolas carry people back down - just so nice. Highly recommend.

This was an affordable and close stay to the zip line (which was amazing)! It got a little warm in the room but the staff was extremely friendly and breakfast was pancakes and bacon! Would stay again.

Loved the Hospitality House! True, it's no frills, but the rooms are clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is very satisfactory. It's sort of like a hostel with private rooms. All kinds of guests. I would definitely return if in the area.

Hostel type but welcoming hotel.Posted Aug 9, 2013
Hibernation House is on Big Mountain at Whitefish so there is only limited choice of food in the evening, however the 'pub' a short walk into the village is nice and not too expensive. It is more a hostel and this was fine for a family travelling with two teens who had bunk beds. The wi-fi is only in the public area. The cooked breakfast of pancakes and bacon was good and there was a selection of usual continental style bread, cereal, muffins, juice and some fruit and yoghurt. The Whitefish area is lovely and in the summer the Alpine slide and chair lift, as well as bike and hiking trails mean there is plenty to do.

Alternative for Glacier Park visitorsPosted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: Hot Breakfast, Huckleberries and Hikes
Cons: You need a car
Location: 15 minutes above Whitefish close to it's skiing area and some very impressive houses and huckleberries on the hill north of the hotel.
The Hotel is a good alternative to the more expensive, but not better accommodations near Kalispel, if you want to go hiking in the Glacier Park. The staff makes all efforts to serve you well, in particular during the hot breakfast. You might find Huckleberries end of July and beginning of August in the vicinity of the hotel.
