Next door to GNP

The Western Inn is an older hotel. Our room has a musty odor to it. It was also surprisingly warm in the room, given that the outside temperature was around 50 degrees overnight. We ran the air conditioner to cool the room down, as none of the windows open. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was ok.

In a nutshell....

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Location: Right in the middle of everything and about 30 minutes from Glacier National Park.
Great experience. Friendliest staff you'll ever meet. Facility looked like it had just recently been renovated. I felt very safe. Good area. I'd stay there again! And again!

We'd come back again

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Proximity to park was good. Nice to have the extra bedroom to separate ourselves from the tv at night. View of the mountains was nice while relaxing.
Cons: Maybe a broom in our room so I could have swept it out when we tracked in some dirt after hiking. Other than that it was great.
Location: Towns are close by for dinner, shopping, groceries and more. We went to the Mystery House/Vortex for fun! Hiking to Aavalanche Lake was amazing.
The staff was awesome. Loved that the room had a separate back bedroom for sleeping in so my husband could watch tv after I went to bed. We loved to unwind by sitting on the lawn furniture out front and watch the sun go down. And we had a mini golf tournament every night we were there. The cereal bar for breakfast was ok, loved the granola bars! Columbia Falls was just down the road and the food in their restaurants are good. We would stay here again if we come back to hike Logan Pass, which was closed due to snow removal.

Great front office staff!

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Front desk staff Kasey and Mindy made the stay special. Also room was clean. It all shows the hotel staff really care. Can't beat the price.
Location: Conveniently located in Columbia Falls about 20 minutes to Glacier National Park and lots of great food.
Very enjoyable vacation. We toured Glaciar National Park and surrounding towns. We did not want to move to another hotel because we felt at home.

Cleaning needed

paper thin walls allowed us to hear talking next door. Tub sink and floor in bathroom not cleaned daily. Only one key worked in lock. Skip the continental breakfast, packaged rolls.

Pros: Traveling wit a pet? This is a good place to consider. Would also be excellent for kids. Lots of play area.
Location: Close to Glacier Nat'l Park.
Nat'l park was not open yet :( However accommodations were good. Only stayed one night so can not comment on other things to do in the area.
