I chose this hotel strictly for price as it was $12/night cheaper than where I normally stay. Great location if you're going to an event at the Coliseum. Otherwise, nothing nearby.

I've Stayed in BetterPosted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Very close to the MPEC. The had cereal, donuts, and bananas for chow in the morning so you could tank up for the ride.
Cons: Need better vacuuming and better bed. Lot of structural damage throughout room, shower, bathroom mold, water damage, trim damage, mildew.
Location: Start/Finish for HHH is just blocks away from the hotel. Easy to get over early, park, and begin prepping for long day in the saddle.
I'm a single guy, a former Marine, and an Iraq veteran. I've certainly slept in worse places by far. But I was there for HHH and I just needed a place to crash for the night before a long hot bike ride the next day. If that's all you need, the place is ideal. It's also within blocks of the Wichita Falls MPEC. I'd stay there again for that reason alone. But it's clear that renovation and cleanliness are not at the top of the list of "things to do" for this bunch.

Never!Posted Apr 8, 2014
I used this hotel because my boyfriend told me it was close to base. I drove up to a building with boarded windows, checked in at the lobby, drove to my room. I had to use my body weight to push the door open. Room said it was non-smoking but had two ashtrays inside the room and had a bad odor. The carpet was wet near the bathroom, bathroom floor was slippery like they didn't wipe up the cleaning products, lights flickered non-stop, and the tub had stains in it. I went back to the lobby and got a full refund because I did not feel safe enough to spend the three nights there as I had originally planned!!!

Hotel by the Hy WayPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: Its location to the hospital a few blocks away
Cons: Different coffee creamer options
Location: Off the highway, eat at the Mexican Restaurant, Don Jose's
Ez to get to, everything was great. Coffee was available with a light breakfast fare and just enough to get back on the road with.

Great RoomPosted Apr 25, 2013
Pros: cleanliness, quiet
My husband and I rented this room just to have some where to sleep after a late night out with friends. This room was perfect for that. Not too fancy but clean and sufficient.

Excellent low cost motelPosted Jul 7, 2010
I had read a number of on line reports about this motel reporting large bug infestations so I was somewhat apprehensive about staying there. However, I did not find any problems with the bugs or anything else. It was a clean, well furnished room. The continental breakfast was minimal but adequate, in keeping with the low cost I paid for the overnight stay. I would use them again if in Wichita Falls.
