Good location

Pros: Good room rate. Location.
Cons: Could be cleaner.
Hotel is in dire need up refreshing and renovation. Get rid of the bedspreads and get better vacuums. The breakfast, although plentiful, was below average. There was a good selection of items but they were poorly prepared.

Great Price and...The Pool!

Pros: If you are looking for a great rate, this is the place. You may not get a suite at that price, but you will love the pool!
Cons: If no smoking rooms, a smoking area that is well lit would be nice....

This hotel has been renamed the Grand Hotel. They have been remodeling a 30+ year old facility. I loved that the indoor pool was open, and while it was older, it was clean and the water was great! Free breakfast was all the usual, plus fresh fried potatoes, Scrambled eggs with cheese and peppers, coffee, juice etc. Nice dining area with TVs all around faces the pool area.

Pros: Location
Cons: The rooms were very dirty and disgusting.
We had bad service from the time we walked in until the time we left...no maid service, floor and room was filthy. TV did not work. Customer service at front desk was awful.

Receptionist was friendly and courteous. Hotel itself was beautiful. Room could have been vacuumed better but otherwise it was fantastic. Will definitely stay again.

Pros: I chose this hotel because of the location. We were in town for a performance at the First Baptist Church. This hotel was nearby.
Cons: The hotel needs a complete renovation starting with the parking lot and continuing into the rooms.
First of all, the hotel is not a Howard Johnson as stated on the website. It hasn't been a Howard Johnson according to the staff for over a year and a half. The clerk was pleasant to work with. He tried to make us feel welcomed. Unfortunately, the hotel has not been kept up at all. The new owners haven't invested anything it seems on the maintenance of the facility. We checked out soon after we saw the room.

Dirty, underwhelming, mismanaged, full of excuses.

Pros: The price was low, but not worth the experience.
Cons: Facility maintenance, room cleanliness, an accurate description of the facility, organization, guest care.
Location: Location, for Wichita Falls, is good with access to the freeway and event centers.
The front desk was typically unattended. Upon entering the room it was discovered that only 1 towel was placed from the previous cleaning (which was less than acceptable). When more towels were requested the staff informed me that no towels were available (with 8-12 rooms occuppied of 250+). Parts of the hotel looked nice and maintained, but the majority of the facility was dirty, stained, and musky smelling. Although the breakfast was acceptable, the cereal was stail, the milk not cold and was typiclly occupied by the staff and their kids. The room was never cleaned during our multiple night stay and some of the amenities listed (workout facility, hot tub, WiFi availability, working elevators) are not available.

Terrible experience

Pros: It was a place to stay and it was cheap
Cons: The hotel staff!!
Location: It was very close to Sheppard AFB, and it was easy getting on and off the highway
The hotel staff was absolutely horrible!!! I had to switch rooms, i had to all for things (like towels) upwards of 3 to 4 times before i ever got them! Then my last night the hotel manager calls and wakes me up at midnight BC they screwed up my payment!!! I will never stay here again!!

Pros: It is a very pretty hotel with a lot of potential
Cons: The staff service
Location: Wichita falls Texas. There is numerous parks to visit. The air force base, museums, malls and water parks.
Had a hard time finding the place considering they changed their name, we were looking for the Howard Johnson but it ended up being the New Grand Hotel. The staff service was very poor my family and I went 3 days before getting any clean towels, I even went to the front desk and asked for them and stopped the staff passing my room and asked but never did the bring me any until my 3rd night there after that we never seen staff again. We had to ask them to come get our garbage out that I had to bag for them.

Decent place, good price. We have stayed there multiple times and will stay there again. Indoor pool is nice for the kids but pretty cold. Good place for the price.

Location: Easy location for highway use
First off they charge your credit card right away without giving you the option to pay cash like expedia said you could. They don't give you the right rate. You have to fight to get it. The free breakfast is a joke. We stayed six nights and they never changed our sheets, never vacuumed. The only bright spot was a wonderful lady by the name of Tracy who works the front desk. If not for her I would warn people not to stay. She made a bad stay bearable.
