Very Disappointed

We were very disappointed with the overall stay here. When we checked in, we were told that we were not allowed to earn points for our rewards account due to it being booked on Expedia. Once we got to our room, there were stains on the carpet and a whole corner of it was ripped out. It also specifically states when making reservations that the rooms have refrigerators and microwaves. When traveling with a family, this is important. We approached the staff, and they said not all the rooms have them. Must admit, the staff was helpful and friendly. Holiday Inn Express' are usually very consistent on quality, but not this one. Plus, no breakfast provided, which seems to be a staple for this chain. At least they didn't lie about that on their description. Get it together Holiday Inn Express I-35 in Wichita.

Location: The location was perfect right across the street from the big mall
I received outstanding service from from the checking saffs to the restaurant personnel they were awesome

Pleasant stay

Even with construction and remodeling, hotel was comfy and clean in spite of construction... Staff was very nice... Will stay there again...

I'm not convinced that this is a 3 star hotel. Maybe after the renovations.

Maybe it will be better

In the middle of a renovation. The room I stayed in was not so clean (some of the towels were dirty) and generally worn. General maintenance issues abound, my favorite was the toilet seat didn't fit the toilet...Hopefully the renovation will include the rooms.

very nice. hotel is centrally located and I very clean even with the remodeling that is going on. the front desk was very, very friendly.

On Its Way to a Great Facility

Hotel is very convenient off the highway and has an attached restaurant. Facility is under construction so access to the entrance was a little limited. We had an older room and had to have maintainance in as soon as we checked in account the heat was not working. All was okay after we returned from dinner. Staff was great. Should be a really good place once construction is complete.

Hotel partially demolished

The hotel was advertised as a 3+ star hotel and it probably will be when they complete construction. The lobbby and ground floor amenities were completed and nice but they are in the middle of removing and replacing all of the exterior walls of the hotel. Our room had it's exterior wall replaced but the rest of it was in an un-remodeled state. The window moounted HVAC unit was permenantly set at 74 degrees and no combination of button pushing afffected that setting. At one point, the exit from the building was blocked by construction equipment and I had to get a manger to let myself and my children out. I definitely feel like I didn't get my money's worth on this stay.
