“Fine if you like dirt and grime.”
Very dirty hotel with poorly maintained rooms. Nice staff and that's about it.
“Great Weekend Stay”
My family had a really great time at this hotel. The pool was really neat even though it was a little chilly outside the pool was a decent temperature. There was also plenty of seating around the pool with a great hot tub. The free breakfast was large and filling. The bed was huge and comfy with plenty of pillows. The only downside was the room kind of had a funny smell to it. Kinda smelled like dirty steam water. Other than that it was an excellent place to stay for the weekend.
“Not for business traveler”
Decided to try booking a room when I booked my flight and that is the last time I'll do that. Even though I may have saved $20, the 10 minute wait to be checked in, and the ground floor room by the highway, sagging mattress and lack of internet made this an unpleasant stay. To be fair, the wait was due to a talented, bi-lingual clerk (only one at the desk) trying to help 4 Spanish speaking guests figure something out about their reservation, or directions. After 5 minutes she looked at me and said, "I'll be right with you." By this time there were 3 of us in line and it took another 5 minutes to be waited on. Really offensive since I had pre-paid my room and just needed a key. I'm impressed that she could converse with the other guests but she should have asked them to wait and checked the waiting guests in, then returned to concierge duties. The mattress was 1,000 years old and sagged so badly in the middle that I had trouble getting out in the morning. They advertised Wi-Fi but I couldn't get a signal 30 feet from the lobby. The room was clean, plenty of stores and restaurants nearby, close to highways and it felt like a safe neighborhood. But not for a business traveler.
“LaQuinta USED to be a GOOD HIGH-QUALITY NAME”
We selected LaQuinta because of the Name and the Location (and the price on Expedia) However, the saying, "You get what you pay for" comes to mind... but when you consider it is on Expedia, you figure the price is good becuz of Expedia.... not because this place was so run down! *1 employee running entire facility *5 mins before anyone came to desk (he was helping a guest at their room & on a cordless phone making a reservation with another future guest) *5 mins later (after phone call ended) we were checked in *Rooms are SO VERY OLD although they have spent some money redecorating (felt like Clean Fancy Clothes on an Old Dirty Body -- not good) *Breakfast was ok. MANY OTHER PLACES IN WICHITA TO STAY IN A SAFER ENVIRONMENT with NICER AMMENITIES!!!
“It was o.k.”
The front desk staff was friendly, the breakfast had a variety for continental. We stayed there for the pool for our son and the pool was ice cold. It wasn't just cool or cold, it was ice cold. Everyone that was in or near the pool complained about it. Also, we had a suite by the pool and any conversation in the area echos. I heard every word of conversations at 11:30 p.m. and then again at 3:45 a.m. So, I wouldn't go back because of the pool, the lack of noise control and the double beds in the room, but I felt the staff was friendly.
“Great central location”
I loved the location. It was so close to the interstate and to shopping. The Inn had a beautiful indoor pool. I wished the pool was a bit warmer so I could have enjoyed it more. The staff was very friendly, but the exercise equipment was in need of maintenance.
“Will go back”
We had reserved 3 rooms and only 2 were reserved and they said they were full, but after quite a while they came up with another one and they were all on the same floor. Hmmmm I guess they weren't full. It was a nice place, a little out-dated, but nice and I would go back. It was very close to where we needed to go. The only thing is I thought it was too expensive for what we got. Another thing, is they wouldn't use our AARP card and it said on the website they did.
“Will be my pick for the next visit to Wichita!”
Staff were friendly and very helpful. We were greeted immediately upon entering the lobby. Parking was easy ..and FREE. The rooms were great, the pool was very pretty and we enjoyed the breakfast the next morning.
“Will stay again”
Has a good breakfast with eggs and meat in addition to the usual waffles.
“Not impressed”
Arrived and the hotel shares a parking lot with a questionably shady motel so I didn't want to park there. We checked in and the smoke alarm was chirping in our room. They moved us to another room that was a huge space, yet largely unfurnished. Just a weird experience.
