“Good Value”
I was looking for something inexpensive and convenient for an overnight trip and that's exactly what we got. The woman at the front desk was extremely polite and helpful and I was very appreciative of her assistance. Breakfast was simple but just fine for our needs. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious with all the amenities that were advertised. The only complaint we had was that the room was very musty smelling and could have used an airing. I would have opened the window myself however it was cold, but I think just that little bit would have cleared the air and made it as perfect as it could be for the excellent price.
“"Best kept secret in Wichita"”
The Wichita Inn North is one of the best places i have stayed in this year. I travel approximately 30 weeks a year. Very clean friendly people and not to mention the great rates. Plenty of things to see in the area..
“Stunk of Smoke - burns in carpet - AC smelled like vinager”
Never will go back - horrible smells and NOT clean
“Loved it!”
This was our third 4th of July weekend in Wichita, and the first that we weren't able to stay with family. We were thrilled to find a hotel at such a great rate. The good price, though, made us nervous-despite the decent reviews online. Wichita Inn North ended up being a wonderful place to stay. We particularly enjoyed the: -ability to get an early check-in without a hassle -nearby stores/restaurants within walking distance -refrigerator and microwave for leftovers -ample parking and ability to see our car from the room -proximity to highway that led us straight to our family's neighborhood -little perks like HBO in the rooms, a large, free, movie selection and my favorite mints on the front desk =) One drawback, which may have been our room in particular, was that the windows only had the blackout shades. So, when after showers during the day, we had to darken the room and turn on lights. Really, not a big deal. With our late nights, we ended up sleeping in both mornings and missing breakfast. I would comment on that if I could. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We both decided that we would stay there every year from now on.
“Perfect last-minute deal!”
We booked this hotel at the last minute while on a roadtrip to Colorado. We arrived sometime after midnight and the clerk was very friendly while checking us in. The room was nothing special, but was very clean and maintained, so it was perfect for our purposes. We read other reviews about the VHS tapes and it was true! The breakfast was not good if you want something other than pastries. But if you want a clean, friendly hotel--we recommend it!
“Great value, Good location”
My son and I recently stayed at the Wichita Inn North in Wichita, KS and we were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was very convienent. The only complaint was the small continental breakfast but that is a minor detail since there are many restaurants that serve breakfasst within walking distance. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely stay again. Great value and a good location!!
“Keep looking”
Glad we didn't pay anymore for it than we did. The bed was great but the carpet was awful! How can anyone leave some big blood spots in front of a sink is beyond me! The carpet was filthy. Had to go to the desk and ask for a light bulb, which took awhile for one to be found. It is very far out north. Didn't realize it would be that far out or would have selected another hotel. Overall.....great price and bed was comfy! Keep your socks on if you stay here!!!
“Very Pleasantly Surprised!”
My husband and I were on a budget, traveling with our 1 year old to visit family in Oklahoma. We booked this room and weren't expecting much for the price, especially considering the last hotel room we'd stayed in for the same price. When we arrived in the hotel, we entered the beautiful lobby and were immediately greeted by a very nice man behind the front desk. He directed us to our room on the first floor, and we were quickly taken aback by how comfortable and clean our room was. The carpet squished pleasantly between our toes. The beds were tall, with soft pillowtop mattresses. There was a large flat screen TV, and a decent sized bathroom. There were many dining options available within walking distance from the hotel, but we ended up just ordering pizza, and ate happily in our hotel room before drifting off to sleep in our cozy beds. We awoke refreshed, rejuvinated and ready to start our day. It was wonderful! We fully intend on returning if we ever need to stay another night in Wichita!
“Very satisfied given the price”
We were very satisfied with this hotel given the price range. The check-in was quick and pleasant. On the plus side, the hotel was located a bit off the main road so it was quiet--it was also located within a major shopping/dining district, so there were a large number of food choices available. There was a mild "funky smell" in the room, but the beds were very comfortable; the TV was large and reception clear. There was a very large selection of DVDs/Videos available for guests (we did not use them though). The breakfast room was small (not a problem for us because the hotel wasn't full). They did, however, have up a sign that said not to take the food to your room. Not a large variety for breakfast, but adequate--the biscuits, however, were like bricks--appeared to be a couple of days old. But there was yogurt, cereals and a variety of breads to make toast. There was an exercise room, but it would not open using our key card (not that we wanted to use it--just wanted to check it out). I'm sure the staff might have opened it if we asked. Overall a good stay given the price we paid compared to what other hotels in the area were charging.
“Bring Your Own Shampoo!”
Well, this hotel was certainly reasonably priced, clean, and convenient to where we were going, but it had very few amenities -- not even shampoo. I would stay here again but remember to bring more of my own things. Overall nice & was very happy.
