“Wiesbaden Best Western Trip 2010”
The hotel location is well situated for the city center if you travel by car. It is also a brisk 10-15 minute walk from the Bahnhof if you travel by train. We were able to quickly locate local shops and services (e.g. - Aldi, Bakery, ATM, etc.) that were a short walk to support day trips in the area. Parking was bit of a challenge until I understood that the hotel had a "lift" system. The staff were courteous and professional and able to help with all our "tourist" needs. We will most certainly keep this hotel on our list for return visits.
“Some corners were cut”
This hotel is fine but the chain appears to be chipping away at services. Here is what I found annoying: 1) Only one pillow per bed. I like to read in bed and one very down pillow does not provide adequate prop from hard head board. 2) Bedding was a bed pad within the usual duvet cover; no down whatsoever. 3) One computer for the hotel and there was a charge of 5 Euros per hour. 4) Breakfast was 19.5 Euros per person. If traveling by car do not assume you will have a space in the hotel's extremely small parking area. We lucked out for one Sunday night but other nights would have been impossible. Same with street side. No attractive mid-price restaurants in the area. One in the hotel is very good, expensive. There is a cheap beer house nearby, but not recommended. .
“Convenient Location”
The hotel is right next to the convention center and not hard to find by car. My only complaint was the parking. The reserved parking was full, so we had to park on the street or in the municipal lot. We found a great place the first night, but had to really search the other nights. This was a minor problem, however. Once we parked the car, it was possible to walk most of the places we wanted to go. A nearby bakery and coffee shop across the street both offer better deals than the hotel does for breakfast. We never ate dinner at the hotel, since there were so many other great options. We wanted convenience, cleanliness, quiet, and reasonable prices, and we found them.
“friendly, helpful”
We were in Wiesbaden for one week to participate in a wedding. The hotel location was great; walking distance to the train station, parks, museum and all of central Wiesbaden. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was larger than expected, newly renovated and clean.
“Not impressed”
We booked the hotel for 2 rooms 3 nights. Upon arrival there was no where to park to unload are belongings. Even though we had reserved the rooms with a credit card we were unable to park at the hotel. We had to block the parking area to unload and then park down the road at a parking structure. They did not offer to reimburse us for the parking nor did they care that we were inconvienced. We left the next day. They did not seem to care that they lost our business. They were fine with the cancellation. Again not impressed.
