The property is old so wooden structure makes noise and no /AC. Hotel is isolated from the city so transportation back and forth is very expensive ( taxi) o distant ( public transportation station is 14 min wait walking!

The bus for public transportation to Interlaken is a 3 minute walk from the Hotel and takes you every half hour to Interlaken within 10 minutes, for free with our guest card. Kind regards.

Clean quaint rooms with very friendly staff. The washroom was very small and the shower curtain was too short to reach the lip of the shower so I had to wipe the floor every time I showered

A beautiful historical hotel with wonderful staff, easy to find, free parking and close to all the local attractions. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. We had an amazing dinner in the restaurant but make sure you book as it is, not surprisingly, busy.

This was a quaint, traditional alpine lodge. Bedding was comfortable, shower was great, food in the restaurant was top notch. Hotel is located 10 minute walk from the train station.

Don’t let the pretty exterior fool you.
Our hotel room was divided for a 3rd person, which made our room horribly small. When the bathroom door is open, the front door hit it when you come it. The smallest room/ bathroom for certainly not a small price. The first day the gentleman offered us coffee. On the second day we asked for coffee and hot water with a tea bag and after several minutes we were asked if we want the 9 Francs on our hotel bill. Seriously?? The hotel looks very nice from the outside and there were 2 friendly employees ( one in the breakfast room), but everyone else couldn’t care less about our stay. When my husband checked out, he was told “ok”. Really ? Where we come from, the hotel personal would ask if we had a nice stay and would wish us a good trip. We would never stay here again and would not recommend it to our friends. Way overpriced for staying in a closet size room:(

The hotel is quite old and the ceiling was really low both hallways and room. We’ve got the tiniest room from the hotel even though we’ve booked in advance. I really liked the location, 3-4 minutes from the bus station. The breakfast was ok, but not too various. You could hear from your room noises from the hallways starting from 7 am. We also tried to rent some bicycles but the front desk could not gave us as someone would not answer the phone.

I liked that the property was very old style Swiss, like a chalet. The staff were amazing and very accommodating, they even offer a travel card so that you can use the buses and trains in the region for free. It’s in a good location as wilderswil is a 15 minutes bus journey from Interlaken. However the only negative thing I do have to say is that the walls are very thin and you can hear everyone else on your floor. This made it difficult to sleep some nights.

We were checked in to the attic room which seems to be recently refurnished. The room is clean and spacious, we are happy with everything. The staffs are super friendly. As our room is in another house from the reception, the girl who checked us in walked us all the way to it. The location is about 10 minute driving from Interlaken city center so It will be a bit inconvenient if you arrive by train.

We normally don’t write negative reviews on places that we have stayed. However, for the price we paid ($282 US) for 1 night stay (room #35) we were very disappointed compared to every other stays during our 2 week road trip though France, Switzerland, and Italy. Additionally, this was the only hotel on our trip that took our full payment several days prior to arrival. Our room was tiny and stuffy with zero amenities. We had no view and our room key was like a boat anchor (something you would get if you used a public restroom). The breakfast was cold cereals with a small fruit selection (nothing hot). What we can’t understand is why our price was so high compared to the advertised amount should on the travel web sites. We stayed at several other very nice hotels with outstanding accommodations on this trip for less money than we paid here. For example, our next night was at “Hotel Winkeried am See” (1 hour North) ($199.61 US) It was spacious, air conditioned, balcony with a view of the lake and mountains for less money. Quite honestly, the difference between night and day! The reviews can be very misleading at times... this is just our opinion.

Our stay at Hotel Alpenblick was nice. Front desk staff was very delightful upon check in and continued to be helpful throughout our stay. We were given passes for the bus which got us into Interlachen conveniently and runs once an hour. The small separation in Wilderswil was just enough to stay away from the throngs of Chinese and Arab tourists. The hotel can be a little warm during a heatwave because it is a 400-year-old building and there is no air-conditioning. But opening the windows provided some relief from the heat. We were treated to a personal fireworks display on the Swiss national holiday and a concert in the town square on August 2. Overall a nice day and would recommend it to fellow travelers.

A must stay
Fantastic well kept 400 year old hotel with great staff. Breakfast was more then enough and dinner was delicious. The receptionist was so helpful telling us some wonderful places to visit. She sent us to a bakery that was simply amazing. Getting to town was so easy just a 2 min. walk to the bus. We really enjoyed everything about this hotel. The room was very big a the bathroom like new. Very clean and comfortable.

We serve fresh, regional products for breakfast and dinner and it pleases us how you enjoyed the meals so much! Our Receptionists are pleased to be helpful with hints and information about the Jungfrau Region and we provide you with guest Cards for free public Transportation with easy Access, just a couple of minutes to the bus stop. In our 400-year old house and the three Chalets which belong to us, we have different types of rooms and categories. Also, in the diverse categories, all the rooms have differences . If we want to put together an exact description for all 37 rooms, it will become very complicated. For this reason we ask you for a compromise: Let us find an agreement for a category and the price for it. Tell us your wishes and preferences. Whenever possible, we will adjust ourselves to it.Looking Forward to welcoming you again in the near future: We wish you a Merry Christmas and much happiness and good health for the New Year!

Dear Mark, Thanks for your imput. You booked a Basic room which is always a twin room. Probably you expected a double room? The bed itself has new matresses and is generally rated as very comfortable. It is correct, that we have no refrigerator because of sustainability. However if requested, we have some to put in the rooms (or guests give their goods to our large fridge at reception). Hope you still enjoyed you short stay with us. Thanks!

Great location for day trips to many places. Does not offer any inside ventilation so we were warm in spite of the cool nights. Had to leave balcony door open so didn't feel very private. :( Tiny shower. Small room. Breakfast was great!! To get to room you walk 3 flights of stairs, so even though it was fine for us, would not suit everyone.

Given the top room with no a/c or fan. When asking about a fan i was told "it's summer, live with it". All the other staff were very friendly and very helpful with area attractions. The food on the buffet was very good as well. However 55€/person is expensive for what was offered.

Disliked: Staff & service
I felt that there was a mean-spiritness about the place. We were not offered the free travel pass into Interlaken. We were advised by the staff at the railway station that the hotel should have given this to us at check in. Other examples were minimal soap and shower gel. Our room was nice. The food at breakfast was very good but the area where the breakfast was laid out was way too small for the number of guests and it was like a rugby scrum trying to get breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel nor stay there again.
