We stated here to save money while traveling. The location is excellent and the free breakfast saved us more money. The rooms were clean but dated looking. The beds were ok. I would stay again for the extreme value for my money.

“Don't stay at this hotel”

Competent staff but hotel was not satisfactory. Air conditioner was very noisy and did not work initially because of stuck controls. Lighting in the hallways was very dim and during a power outage there was no lighting at all! We luckily had a flashlight that got us down to the lower floors. The path to the breakfast area took us by a hot tub that looked to be filled with toxic water! Will never stay at this hotel again.

“Comfort Inn Historic Area in Williamsburg”

The hotel was clean and close to Busch Gardens and Water Country. I only have two complaints: 1) The room we were assigned was all the way in the corner by the opposite side of the balcony where we needed to walk down a flight of stairs from the elevator. It wasn't easy carrying all the luggage up and down the stairs when we checked in. 2) Because of tthe location or how the hotel is built with solid walls, I had no wifi connection with my iPhone and poor phone reception. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice and reccomended if staying in Williamsburg, VA.

“Disappointed”

We picked this hotel because it had two pools and an arcade on the on line advertisement. We have two young daughters and knew that would excite them. Got there and there was no arcade and the outdoor pool was very dirty. Went to take a shower and could barely wash my hair, the water came out so slow. On our second night of our stay, the air conditioning went out and we went to the front desk, only to be told by an older man to just go back to our room, there was nothing he could do. We got no sleep that night and checked out when the sun came up because I just couldnt take the heat any longer. We were very disappointed and we will never return.

“Tired old hotel”

Worst stay I've ever had at a hotel in my entire life. When we first arrived the key cards they gave us did not work. We had to wait for them to get us new ones. As soon as we entered the room we noticed our room had a foul odor. We also noticed our room did not have an ice bucket. Once I got an ice bucket at the front desk, 3 of the 4 ice machines were out of order. Once I got to the forth ice machine on the forth floor, I pushed the button and dirty ice came out. The next night the hotel fire alarm went off around 1:30am. We saw everyone was exiting the hotel we did the same. There was no hotel staff to direct anyone. We waited about 25 minutes until fire department arrived and told everyone it was ok to go back to the rooms. The hotel staff could not tell us the reason for the alarm. Next year we plan on staying next door at Hampton Inn.

“good hotel for the price”

We stayed for two nights. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The air conditioning was terrible. The hallways were very hot and our room had an old air conditioner that made a lot of noise. It was hard to sleep. It sounded like thunder and didn't cool as well as we felt it should. To be fair, I will say that it was almost 100 degrees outside so the air conditioners were given a work out. We will not stay there again because of the noise. If you can sleep through a loud thunder storm, you will be fine.

bed was unconfortable, hall way had the same trash on floor for 3 days. furnishings were well used and needed replaced.

This hotel is good for the price. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The building is old and has an odd lay out when it comes to the pool area and the breakfast lounge, but not that big of a deal. The pools were a little dirty. Over all, this hotel was a good value and I would definitely stay there again.
