Nice hotel with fun extrasPosted Sep 9, 2014
We stayed here with our 4 kids, and thought it was really nice for what we needed. The free breakfast was decent, with the standard stuff (donuts, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, sausage) and even had fresh fruit salad (cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes). The pool was clean and open late, which is great for us. They had free cookies at the front desk all the time, and even had a little library stocked with all kinds of books that were there to borrow. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Pros: The staff were very nice, it is in a very nice area.
Cons: Clean the rooms better, If a room smells bad find out why don't make your guests figure it out.
Ask how often they clean under the bed. Our room smelled bad and I found rotten fruit under a bed. The window needed repair as the upper left corner was out of the track causing the window to not close. The repair was performed the next morning and the Hotel provided a different room for our first night; however we still needed to pack everything up and move to a different room the next morning becasue of the window issue. The bed in the first roomn was so hard it felt like I had slept on a floor. The bed inthe second room (our original room that needed the window repaired) was comfortable.

Convenient to Colonial WilliamsburgPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: It was conveniently located to Colonial Williamsburg.
Cons: The rooms should be kept cleaner, more seating is needed in the dining area, and food and coffee should be replenished more frequently at the buffet..
Location: Colonial Williamsburg is very close and easy to get to from the hotel.
The room cleaniness left something to be desired but it wasn't horrible. The room felt humid and had a musty smell. The pool was clean and not over chlorinated like at some hotels. There was not enough seating in the dining area for the buffet breakfast provided by the hotel. The first morning, the scrambled eggs ran out over an hour before the end of the dining hours and there was no sign that they would be replenished. The coffee also ran out and was slow to be replenished in the thermoses. The workout room is adequate. Our room was right next to the workout room and I feared that we would be kept up late or wakened early by the noise of people working out. The room must have been soundproofed well because this was not a problem. It was well located for getting to Colonial Williamsburg.

Will coose another hotel for our next visit!Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The hotel has a refrigerator and microwave.
Cons: The housekeeping staff was very unprofessional. Two times during our stay, housekeeping came in while we were in our bed.
Location: Colonial Williamsburg
This is our second time staying here in Williamsburg. We had an enjoyable stay the first time. On two separate mornings, housekeeping knocked on the door and before we could get to the door, they had opened our door! I wasn't happy with this. One time, housekeeping says, "you all are still in the bed"? Why didn't you put the sign on the door? Then housekeeping ask for our dirty towels and then they don't replace all of them. I will not be s taying here again.

Very dissapointing - look elsewhere.Posted Aug 27, 2014
Cons: Just about everything (see comments about experience).
Location: The location is fine, but there are dozens of hotels all in close proximity and in the heart of Colonial Williamburg, Willian and Mary, etc.
I cancelled reservations at another hotel in order to stay at this one; although more expensive, on paper it appeared to be worth it and wanted something nice prior to moving our son into college. First of all, these rooms are not suites. Nothing more than your standard hotel room with 2 double beds. The suite part - small frig, microwave, small table and chair, made the room very tight and uncomfortable; it was not meant to accomodate these extra items. After returning to the room late in the evening, housekeeping had done a terrible job in cleaning the room. None of the surfaces were cleaned, dirty cups remained on the countertop, bedspread was just thrown back on top of the bed (my teenage son makes a better bed), scrunged up soap in the shower stall, no new soap - I could go on. Housekeeping had already left and the attendant at the front desk apologized, but nothing could be done other than hand me more soap and shampoo. The breakfast room was small, chaotic and inadequately staffed; standard fare, nothing special. One elderly gentleman trying to keep up, stocking food items, refilling the coffee, wiping up spills - it was futile; I felt very badly for him. People waited in lines for coffee, waffle batter, milk and fruit. A second attendant was supposed to be on hand, but as the elderly gentleman said, he never shows up on time - I never saw him. The internet was slow and patchy. In the fitness center only 1 machine worked.

"Executive Room" name deceivingPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: The front desk personal were helpful and courteous.
Location: Hotel was close to all tourist activities. The area is mostly just hotels and eateries so there is no concern about the area neighborhood.
I reserved an "executive Room" with a king size bed, thinking I was getting an upgraded room where the bedroom room was separated from a living room. After all, I paid much higher per night then their rooms normally cost. But the room was just their standard room. Their upgraded rooms are called "executive suites" with the emphasis on the word "suites". Must be an advertising ploy using the word "executive" that evidently worked on me. The room was clean and comfortable though the dresser drawers kept sliding open. We surmised the dresser was leaning forward as there were shims under the legs. The breakfast room was poorly managed. They couldn't keep up with resupplying the plates, service ware, glasses and removing the dirty dishes.

Lovely hotel, kid's favorite (but BYO cups/plates)Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Lovely, fresh clean room!
Cons: As noted, double the available dishware, cups and silverware. Likewise, stock sufficient to go cups so that you do not run out at peak serving time!
Location: Busch Gardens, Water Country USA
We enjoyed this hotel very much. Check in was smooth, very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, fresh and very modern. Having concerns over past reviews, I found that our experience room-wise and service was top notch. The shortfall was just as other reviewers noted. There were no cups during the high traffic period of breakfast. There were no plates or silverware either. As the included breakfast is a primary driver for staying with Country Inn and Suites, this was a financial setback as we had to leave and eat in a restaurant when we paid more to have breakfast included in the hotel cost. The food that was available was fine and would have met our needs. We just had no way of eating it! A popular hotel, the breakfast room was crowded. Otherwise, this is a great hotel and we really do love Country Inn & Suites!

Located minutes from Busch GardensPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Refreshing and relaxing atmosphere.
Location: Great location, minutes away from Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg
Located less than 15-minutes from Busch Gardens, close to major highways. The staff was very professional and always accessible, rooms very modern and clean, easy parking.
