“Michigan Family”
The hotel was older, it was clean and the staff was very courteous. The pool was a little chili the 1st night. Pointing it out to staff is was fixed by the next day. Breakfast was good, repeated the next day. Would have been nice for some variety. Overall it was a nice stay. We would go back again.
“Would stay there again”
Great hotel for the money - nothing overly fancy but the hotel was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
“Not too Impressed”
Unfortunately the couple that went on the trip and stayed in Room #2 discovered they had BED BUG bites all over their backs and legs & arms. So i will be calling Expedia to complain about the nasty bites. My room ws actually ok, the only thing that was nasty was Hair in the Ice Bucket, and when i went to get a new one they didnt have any and the lady tried to give me the same one back. Also out toilet didnt work, they had to come fix it. Lastly there was NO vent in the bathroom, very inconvienient when taking a HOT shower. Overall i would not suggest this hotel, not even worth the price.
“Pretty Good”
The temperature of the room was difficult to control and the service was slow.
“Great idea for complimentary breakfast”
Not the best pillow, you may want to bring your own pillow. Not the best pool . Washer and dry in site is very appreciated. Saved lots of time for free breakfast.
“Nice place to stay”
Stayed here a few years ago. Nice place. Easy to find, quick to get to from Williamsburg area, but in a quiet little spot. Beds OK. Everything seemed very clean and air worked good in our room. Only stayed one night so we didn't have time to try the pool, but the breakfast was good. There was a nice selection to choose from and a friendly attendant present. The exhaust in the bathroom didn't seem to accomplish much, but luckily there was a second sink w/mirror.
“Not bad, Not great!! But for the money in that area...it is okay.”
The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The front desk person was just ehhh and there were some areas that needed work. My room had a place for a table and the area was vast but there was no table there....My housekeeping was great and if I went back to the area, I would stay there again if I got the deal I got this time. I went one night earlier and I had to pay double what I booked it for 3 weeks prior. RIDICULOUS!!
“Hotel Needs Better Care”
While the staff here is very friendly, the hotel is not up to par. We found ants in our bed; the hair dryer was missing a protective cap that had it been on would have stopped my finger from getting caught in the blade; the carpet was torn; marks on the walls; the safe didn't work when we got there and it still didn't work after we contacted the staff; there were strange hairs everywhere; the coffee urns always seemed empty even though the staff said they would keep them filled; the pool smelled bad. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes from the historic part of Williamsburg and right across the road from the pottery. Lots of stores and eateries in the area.
“Great Service, Hotel Needs a Revovation”
All of the staff at this hotel were extremely nice and accomodating. They were very useful in suggesting places to eat and visit. However, the hotel itself is kind of old and in desperate need of a renovation because it smells like mold in certain places, and there are no mini-refrigerators in the room for drinks and leftovers. Beds were comfortable and clean, and the hotel is quiet. Other than a few much-needed modern updates, this hotel was great, except for its isolated location.
“Gr8 Staff; Rms. Need Refreshing”
Located out in the middle of nowhere and literally surrounded by fields of corn, so don't expect to walk anywhere. With a car you're within 3 miles or so of conveniences. Common areas are very well-kept, but rooms need refreshing. Staff are super-nice and helpful. We stayed two nites and the first nite we had to change our room cuz deadbolt did not work. Person at front desk was very nice about it and quickly gave us another room. Both rooms were somewhat tired looking (second room at least did not have carpet baseboard falling off wall) and all the mattresses in the two rooms had no support. The door to our second room stuck so it made a tremendous scraping noise whenever we entered or exited---could not have been very pleasant for our neighbors. Front desk personnel gave wonderful local food recommendations. My son enjoyed the spacious indoor pool facilities.
