Fine for a brief stay

Traveled there for a school competition with my granddaughter. The room wasn't fancy or large but it was clean, the mattress was comfortable and it was fine for the 3 nights we stayed. Would recommend for someone who wouldn't need more than a place to sleep. Continental breakfast included coffee, tea, bagels, cereal and you can make a waffle. Fine for the price.

A day at Bush Gardens

I was skeptical at first because I usually stay at a more expensive hotel when I need a suite, but at the last minute during Spring Break this was all that was available. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was nice and clean. The furnishing looked fairly new. The only issue was there was no door entering the bedroom. Not a problem for us but some might expect a door to close. Anyway, well worth the money.

Close to College and Shopping

Cons: Keep people at the front desk, especially during check out times
Location: William and Mary College and Shopping outlets
Hotel was better than we expected and was close to the College and functions we attended, the only issue we had was it took over 20 minutes to find someone to work the front desk so we could check out, he decided it was more to his liking to sit in the restaurant and socialize during checkout time and not be at his post casuing us to be late for an appointment at the College

Central location to just about everything

We arrived and were greated by a friendly and helpful desk clerk. I think it was actually the owner/manager. Our room was ready/available/clean. We had an overall good night, but in the morning faced some issues. The individual that was the am desk clerk/breakfast person was very rude. When we went to breakfast at 8:15am (and breakfast didn't finish until 9:30), most items were not present and when asked if we could get some syrup for pancakes we were told no. Also, when checking out (the same person) we asked for a receipt and were told that we only get a receipt from Expedia. When I asked again for a receipt because I said that my credit card info was taken for incidentals I was again told no. I have since left a message for the manager and hope to get that resolved soon. Other than the person at the front desk, the hotel itself was good.

Yes it is true that we can not issue a ckeck out receipt if you have booked your room through third party i. e expedia ,hotels.com etc . Main reson for that is rate difference. But you can always collect from them.And I have checked your account there is no extra incidental charge so you are fine. I really appologized you for that . It's worth just about what we paid.

Pros: The price and the availability of a room when I needed one
Cons: Rigorous routine maintenance.
Location: No comment. I didn't go there for those reasons
The rooms are just that - rooms; they're acceptably clean. The HVAC units don't fit the openings properly, so outside air come into the rooms.

Nice hotel

Cons: Clean shower curtain - moldy
Location: William and Mary visit with my son
Nice hotel, great location - only issue - shower curtain moldy/needed good bleaching other than that I would stay here again

Disappointed with the way I was treated!!!

My experience with Econolodge was Horrible!!! Ir would help if they would at least give customers the courteousy of answering the telephone!I attempted to cancel my reservations due to an error, instead I got the runaround til it was to late to cancel, and they had the gaul to tell me I waoould be charged! Its a little difficult to do the correct thing when your put on hold3 times! Thoroughly disappointed!!!

Dear Guest, We are extremly unhappy to hear about the inconvenience you had about canceling your reservation . First of all if you had booked your room via online travel agent (OTA) like expedia, booking.com etc you must call them first because we dont even have your credit card info until you arrive ( prepaid).Second thing our hotel have 24 hours cancelation policy. So if you trying to cancel the reservation on same day as your arrival day we might not be able to do so. sorry we could not help you any other way. have a happy holiday.. thanks.
