nicer than we expected

Great for just a place to sleep.

Staff was great! Room seemed a bit beat up and the shower rod and towel holders were hanging off the wall. The room had a smell...mold maybe? Not sure. However, the location is excellent and if you're looking for just an affordable place to sleep, I think this hotel is great for just that. Not exactly a place to hang out but if I need a place to stay for a night or two during our Busch Gardens trips, I'll always consider econo lodge as an option.

Needs a good cleaning

Pros: Beds ok. Good location with lots of restaurants in the area.
Cons: CLEANING
Location: Great location near Bush Gardens, Williamsburg
Older Hotel could be nice but the place is dirty. Stayed in room 161.Had mold on shower curtains, Carpet had thick dusty dirt. Suite had 2 baths both required cleaning/maintenance, had peeling paint, loose towel rack, dirty cabinets and tub. We had to clean it up ourselves. Plaster loose in room. Choose another hotel! I don't smoke but a closer smoking area is needed. Beds need cleaning around floor base thick dirt around carpet, we would not let the children take off their shoes. Carpet need clean by professional carpet cleaning company. Room had flying bugs.

Kind friendly staff. Nice rooms as we had a suite. Not top shelf but great value for the money. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The room wasn't clean when we arrived 8:00pm the pictures of the hotel make you see something better, I don't care if the place is old but it should've clean!!!

Better than expected

Pros: The comfortable bed and location. There's a pool but we did not have time to enjoy it.
Cons: More breakfast options and brighter lights in the bathrooms
Location: There are a ton of great restaurants (try Red Hot & Blues BBQ), mini-golf, shopping and outlet malls; very close to Water Country and Williamsburg
We stayed in a suite for one night after spending a long day at Water Country, USA. The sheets/bed was very comfortable; it was helpful to have two bathrooms with two teenagers; the area was quiet and our dinner at a restaurant down the street was amazing. The name of the hotel and the picture had me a little worried, but it was much nicer than we had expected. The staff was pleasant, the breakfast was OK, but there are a lot of pancake houses nearby for those who want more than the basic hotel breakfast.

Amazing price for area

For the area the price was great. I was expecting it to be like other cheap motels I've stayed at. First thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the lobby, and the manager (Vinny) I believe, was very nice. Was able to accommodate us by getting us side by side rooms. When we got to the rooms they were very clean, and even though there was a slight oder in the room, it was nothing compared to other places I've stayed. A little fabreeze took care of it with no problem. Another good thing is that the beds were actually clean, and I had no problem falling asleep. The only thing I would suggest is some upkeep in the bathrooms. Pretty clean, but the cabinet door looked like it was about to fall off. Once again still better than other cheap places I've stayed at. And to end this the breakfast was same as other places that offer it, and the dinning facility was large and clean. And the pool was pretty well maintained. I would definitely stay again, thanks.
