Nice hotel with lots to do locally. Great location

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Everything, indoor pool, great staff, who show interest in you during your stay & try very hard to be helpful. Nice location near lots of attractions
Cons: Make it bigger, stay longer and enjoy as much as you can. The general store next door is also a must visit.
Location: General store, two doors over, fine dining next door, outlet malls 3 blocks away, Wm&Mary & Colonial Williamsburg witdhin a mile. A very nice hotel.
The staff was great, very helpful & friendly. They offered discount tickets to local events and use your room key to receive discounts at two restaurants next door. The Seafood & Steak Restaurant was Great & the discount made it better than ever. Even though it rained 3 of the 4 days we were there the hotel staff always had suggestions on things to do. Local outlet shopping was great for my wife and we pruchased gifts for many family members. We also visited Wm & Mary and Colonial Williamsburg which was educational and fun to see. We didn't get to see Ripleys Believe it or not & other local sites so we plan to return soon to take advantage of all the activities offered here. The bed in the hotel was better than the bed at the Hilton Hotel in Myrtle Beach!

Great hotel near amenities and sights

Posted Jul 8, 2014
The staff were great. I even got a call from the front desk asking if I enjoyed my stay. Great touch. I didn't have breakfast but I really wanted too. Looked awesome. The Hilton group is back in my good books after a bad stay at the embassy suites in Washington downtown. I will be staying there again and plan to use a Garden inn tonight on my way through North and South Carolina.

Pros: The staff was excellent. They changed my room twice to find an AC that worked.
Cons: Cool off the hallways and the rooms for check ins.
Location: NA
Disapointed in the quality of the room for the price. The comforter smelled, the room was dificult to cool off. The hallways were very hot and muggy. I would not stay there again.

was surprised at the value

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: everything
Cons: keep up the good standing
Location: plenty, shopping, good eating and Busch Garden and Country Water USA water park
Booked the hotel 3 months in advance, thus paid about $120 for each night, money well spend. The hotel was in the middle of major commercial road for the good reason, good restaurants, premium outlet shopping only 5 minutes drive and Bush Garden and Country Water only 20 minutes away. Love the welcoming staffs at the front desk and self service ice cold lemon water and cookies. The room was clean and replacing of towels was prompt. One can see the neatness of the hotel, inside and outside. Parking was ample and well light during night time.

Memorable Anniversary Stay

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: Clean, well staffed, decent wifi included, and conveniently located.
Cons: Like most hotels, the privacy curtain does not close completely and there was no way to stop the light from the alarm clock.
Location: Ripley's Believe it or Not is across the street. There is also a brand new pastry/bakery and Kyoto Japanese steak house across the street.
My wife booked this hotel for our 15 year anniversary getaway. We had never been in Williamsburg before but gave it a shot. The hotel was very clean and the staff quite pleasant. The room was comfortable with the expected amenities. The hotel is conveniently located in Williamsburg allowing easy walking to a few attractions and several nice restaurants. The facility is set back from the road a bit, which makes for less road noise in the night while still easy to find. They include basic wifi with the room. This is bandwidth limited service and worked well for the work I did from the road. I do web development so I upload/download quite a few smallish files. We attempted to watch Netflix on the computer one night and found that did not work. If you will need streaming services you will want to upgrade to the paid service. The pricing was comparable to other similar services but I didn't bother since the basic service worked for everything except streaming video. While unrelated to the hotel, I can also say there are two urgent care clinics within a mile and a nice hospital with a capable emergency room within 2 miles. Hopefully none would need those, but it is reassuring to know help is not far if a medical emergency does come up while on vacation.

Extremely helpful and polite staff from beginning to end of stay. Housekeeping was fantastic and on time with our roll-away beds and extra toiletries.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff were very helpful and professional. The rooms were immaculate. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel and the food was superb.
