Unclean SMALL Overpriced RoomPosted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Pool. It was small, but at least it kept kids busy.
Cons: cleanliness. fully stocked kitchen supplies. better food at evening reception and breakfast.
Location: The hotel is very conveniently close to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.
Had to request that the room be deodorized. Not a good start. No wine opener available on the property. For the price, the rooms were terribly small. Kitchen was not fully equipped. While some of the staff were very genuninely nice, others were indifferent or curt. The food at the complimentary evening recepeption was poor quality and tasted gross.Overall, I could have paid 1/3 the price and gone to a cheap chain motel to get the same size room and it would have been about as clean, if not cleaner. I really wish I hadn't wasted my money here. I just like the idea of the kitchen - (which, again, wasn't fully equipped with utensils, plates, cups, etc).

Unexpected surprisePosted Jan 5, 2015
Cons: Maybe orange juice with some pulp.
Location: Easy on and easy off the By-Pass Road, very close to Colonial Williamsburg and several restaurants. Shopping was also very close by.
It was very clean, beds very comfortable, well stocked kitchen, TV's were first class flat screens. Front desk staff spoke to us every time we went in and out, no matter who was on duty, very friendly. It was easy to find, close to Colonial Williamsburg on the By-Pass Road. We will be staying here again. Checked out the breakfast area, got some juice and coffee, decided to go out for some "country ham" at a nearby restaurant. Hilton also had a newspapers provided to read at breakfast. Our room was across from and close to the elevators, thought it might be noisy and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was quiet and we got a good night's rest. Hats off to Hilton Homewood Suites for a nice stay.

Fine Hotel... Not greatPosted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff was excellent. Breakfast food and evening snacks were very good.
Cons: Need to retrain housekeeping to be more thorough in cleaning and checking the rooms.
Location: Location is easy in and out of Colonial Williamsburg area.
Hotel staff were excellent, however room cleanliness was lacking. The kitchen was missing many items; such as cups, towels, plates and silverware. Floors needed vacuuming and pillow cases looked and felt old. We needed to extend our stay one more night which required us moving to another room...which was not any better. We have stayed here before but we are dobuting whether we will come back to this hotel.

Room for Family of Six Close to WilliamsburgPosted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and modern. Comfortable for a family of six. Great to have a full fridge and microwave while on the road. Two tv's!
Cons: There was a musty smell coming from the air vent. The pool looked a bit murky.
Location: The location was perfect. Right off Rt 64. We were maybe a mile from main strip of Colonial Williamsburg. There was a 7-11 across the street.
We wanted to take our kids to Colonial Williamsburg, but not spend a fortune. We needed enough room to fit 4 kids and two adults, while still being close to the action.

Very nice one-bedroom hotel suitePosted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: The staff was wonderful. All was clean. Exactly as described.
Cons: The breakfast. For someone with a grain-free diet, there was very little to choose from.
Location: About 10 minute drive to Busch Gardens, but very convenient and easy to find.
This hotel was exactly as it is described...we got the two queen beds suite. The bedroom has the beds, some furniture, and a closet (which is a bit awkward to open because of its close proximity to the bed). Then, there are double doors which lead to an open-space w/ a bathroom sink and mirror, which is attached to a closing-door tub/shower combination and toilet. This space also leads out to the living area which has some furniture and a pull-out sofa (which my daughter said was comfortable). This is also connected to the kitchen with a full fridge, sink, dishwasher, stove top, counter, and all the cups/plates/flatware that is needed. It isn't large, but it isn't small. Just the right size for a family of 4-6. The pool was a little chilly, but my son loved it. He was bummed that there wasn't a hot tub. As for the breakfast, I did not feel that was very good. There was a hard-working staff member attending to it, but some of the food was pretty tasteless and there weren't many choices. Better than continental, but not as good as some other hot breakfast hotels. First day was small ok breakfast sandwiches and potatoes. Second day was tasteless eggs and greasy tater tots. Every day is yogurt, oatmeal (sometimes watery), 3 cereal choices, self-made waffles, fresh fruit (not great variety), coffee/tea/juice area, and a small amount of white bread, white English-type muffins, and small white bagels. No variety at all there, and no actual muffins or donuts at all.

Close to Col WilliamsburgPosted Oct 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room we had was right off the lobby and I expected it to be loud but it wa nice and quiet. The available cooking items were great. The hotel seems dated. The rug in our room was worn in front of the closet. There were stains on the walls. The beds were very uncomfortable (moved a lot when someone rolled over). The dishwasher in our unit was not bolted to the counter and tipped over when placing dishes inside.

Stayed for one night after Busch GardensPosted Sep 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
All was great, but the ceiling fan was a little rickety so we never turned it on and it got warm, but overall a great experience.
