Beautiful Location Modern Room - But No Sound Proofing btw Rooms

Posted Sep 28, 2008 on Hotels
We staying in brand new cottage with two suites rooms with living room and kitchen downstairs (we staying in one of the single one bedroom suites) and one double suite with two bedrooms upstairs. The suite was brand new with a state of the art kitchen (fully stocked with dishes, glasses etc), a flat screen tv in the living room, all new furniture in every room in a very stylish colors and fabric. the bedroom with large with a very comfortable kingsize bed, a tv in the room, and a small deck off the bedroom. There was every a brand new state of the art grill we could use next to the cottage. There was an excercise room and pool for use. I used the excercise room with was a little cramped but the equipement was well maintained. The cottages are in a very quite, pictureque almost rurul setting. The main issue which almost ruined are stay was the noise from the occupants who were staying above us. They were very loud, slamming doors stomping, and dragging items across the floor all hours of the night. Ironically, they were quite during the day, we only stayed for a weekend. Also, the housekeeper cam 8am on Sunday and starting making a lot of noice. We were due to check out at 10am but he people upstairs starting making very loud noises at 5am on Sunday and didn't stop until they left and then the cleaning people came right after them making a lot of noise like running the vaccum cleaner. The only way we would stay again would be for a big family vacation were we rented the entire cottage and we stayed upstairs.

Family

Great getaway for families. Close to parks and shopping. Was surprised not to receive a sales call until mid week. One the the negatives was the fee for video/movie rental and the age restriction for use fitness center/pool.

"Great place for the money"

My wife and I stayed here while we went to Busch Gardens, which is only 10 minutes away. We stayed in the 1 bedroom cottage. Everything worked great. It was better than just having a room at a hotel somewhere. You get a bedroom, kitchen, bath and a deck. The resort had pools & tennis courts. We got a great price from Hotels.com and it made our extended weekend great. The only downside was you can hear through the walls pretty easily, it didn't affect our stay as we had good neighbors, just something to be aware of. I would highly recommend King's Creek Plantation.

Good for Groups

I reserved a townhouse for eight people and was surprised to learn that the accommodations were actually two separate condo units joined by an enclosed foyer. The units were nicely furnished and quite comfortable. These were great accommodations for families. The one drawback was the poor sound insulation. Our units were on the lower level, and we were kept awake by the noise from the renters upstairs.

Very nice room to stay in, a lot of amenities to enjoy for adults and kids, room was very confortable and very impressed with the set up. it was more of a private townhouse than a hotel room, and the deal through expedia was great.

Overall everything was wonderful. One suggestion would be ... we had a problem with our interior door lock/card reader was bad. We had a maint. man come in and work on it and did everything he could but he didn't have what he needed - an initiation key. We arrived around 7 p.m. but whoever had the capabilities had left for the day. Fortunately the person in the other room was not arriving that evening so we make shifted it for the evening. If that room had been occupied that same night not sure what we would have done??? ... Everything else was perfect - the service, the townhouse itself the ammenities, the location....

Great room for the money

This hotel was great. Brought our two year old and was very comfortable. Hotel is currently under construction but was very quiet while we were there. Did not realize that cottage was "upstairs" so if you bring toddlers might want to consider bringing or asking for a baby gate. All in all, nice room, friendly staff. Would stay there again!

Hotel met our expectations

We stayed at the King's Creek Plantation over Labor Day weekend 2008. We arrived around 7:00 pm on Friday and check-in was handled quickly. We reserved a 2BR/2bath and were very satisfied with the size and layout of the accomodations. There was a central living room/great room with fireplace and a complete kitchen/dining area. The beds were very comfortable and there was a 42" flat screen TV in the great room. We asked for a crib, and one was delivered to our room in less than thirty minutes. This was a short visit so we didn't get a chance to use many of the hotel's facilities, but we do plan to return at some point in the future.

Great Value for the price!

This is a timeshare rental which is extremely roomy with all the comforts of home. Excellent location for Williams Burg as well as Water Country and Busch Gardens. The facilities were maintained well. This is not a hotel per say more of a timeshare rental...full kitchen laundry 4 TV's 2 full baths. Quite nice for the cost of a hotel room.
