Spent two days in Williamsburg and stayed at the Inn. The amenities were beautiful though the staff at breakfast was a bit slow. Overall, don't be in a hurry and you will find this experience to be great.

We plan to return.

Posted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: Classy atmosphere all about. It's close to the best shopping and Old Town Williamsburg. Food in the dining room is excellent and the staff are nice.
Cons: The toilet is low to the floor...and small. Nothing else needs to be improved. I'm not into early American décor but this was tastefully done.
Location: Best shopping is within two blocks. Old Town Wmsburg is 1/2 block away. Walking around is very pleasant.
We went to see a friend but wanted to stay in a nicer place than we have stayed in the past...so we splurged a litte more and were very happy with what we got for our money.

Great Place to Stay for Valentine Get Away

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Being a short walk away fro. Colonial Williamsburg.
Location: In addition to Colonial Williamsburg Jamestown and Yorktiwn are just a short drive away.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating, even making sure the roses I had ordered where waiting for us in the room. Being so close to Colonial Williamsburg is very convenient, it was nice to be able to wander over in the evening or early morning.

Stayed at hotel while visiting Colleges

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Stayed here while visiting College of William and Mary. Room was nice. Big with 2 sinks which is always nice when there are more then 2 people in the room. I thought the bathroom could use a little freshening up. A little pricey for what we got.

Would not stay here again

Posted Feb 16, 2015
The location was great! If you are looking for rustic this is for you. Went there for valentines day... the bathroom was so small, the bath towels barely covered you. The hardwood floor squeek when you walk... there was no mini fridge as advertised...We went to the jacuzzi, which was not even warm....and i had COLD shower water....for the money i could have stayed somewhere else that would have been nicer. I was VERY disappointed.

Cozy

The lodge was a very nice place to stay. I am sure if we were there when it was warming it would be evn nicer. The pool and spa were across the street. We didn't see the miniature golf. It was overall nice and would stay again. It was a nice location to the sites

Central and comfortable

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: The location and the service.
Cons: Three things: The bathroom is a bit small, the bed is too high, and they should restore the shuttle to Busch Gardens (which ran from 2010 to 2013).
Location: It is a very short walk to the historic area. If you attend Colonial Williamsburg's evening programs, then you can be in your room within ten minutes
The Williamsburg Lodge is a very comfortable place to stay if you want to be near Colonial Williamsburg. The service is good and the location can't be beat. It is a bit expensive, but if you want convenience, then you will have to pay for it.

Very nice hotel in a great location.

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Hotel is centrally located, very clean, and nicely decorated in colonial style. Shower did not work the second day we were there, was fixed the same day, but no comp to say "sorry you had to wash your hair on your hands and knees with your head under the faucet". Skip the breakfast buffet, very expensive, there are better breakfasts to be had at the local pancake houses for half the cost.

annual anniversary get-away

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Our anniversary tradition is to spend a couple nights at the Williamsburg Lodge. We like all the historical activities, but this year spent lots of time in front of the fireplace reading and relaxing. The only negative was a soiled decorative pillow. We could have called housekeeping to have it replaced, but took it off the bed and forgot to deal with it. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We will stay there again in the future.

Good choice for handicap visitors

Posted Dec 30, 2014
I had scheduled an overnight trip with my family and mother in law to the Williamsburg lodge. The lodge is close to colonial Williamsburg and the upscale Merchants Square area. The grounds are well kept and the staff are all cordial from the doorman to the desk staff. We had arrived around 1230 and had lunch, check in time was no earlier than 4:00 pm. Both my wife and mother in law are handicapped, and both wanted to get into their room before we started out on our day trip walk (Thank God I was able to get rental power chairs for them). The staff worked to get us into our rooms early. And my mother in law commented that she had never stayed in a room that was that big. The only area of improvement that I will offer is that the showers were old, and lacked ventilation fans which resulted in some mold showing up in the tile. Overall good stay..
