Should have been renovated 20 years ago

Pros: Nice staff, properly toasted bagel with nice hard cream cheese in the morning.
Cons: Everything except the staff, the bagel and the cream cheese.
Location: Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park is about 12 minutes away.
Desk clerk was extremely pleasant and informative. Couldn't have been nicer. Hallways reeked of tobacco, room was a pungent concoction of decay and decomposition. The shower was the size of a telephone booth, the overall bathroom not much bigger. The pillows had the loft of a morning newspaper. Thankfully the evening was cool enough that the A/C was unnecessary, because it seemed that the fan was taken out of a DC-3. The wallpaper was peeling, the TV was an ancient cathode-ray tube. I suspect the bedspread hasn't been replaced since Eisenhower. The lighting fixture over the central table had five sockets, but only two were occupied with bulbs. The two lights over the bed had bulbs, but they were wildly mismatched in brightness. The free in-room, breakfast was delivered right on time. The bagel was properly toasted and the cream cheese was the hard variety, which I personally really prefer. Sadly the plastic knife which was provided to spread the cream cheese had the stiffness and structural integrity of Saran wrap. Had to use my finger to spread the cream cheese, as the knife was useless. You should find another hotel until this rundown place is renovated. Hopefully the owner will magically levitate the staff, swap a brand new facility for this dump and put the staff back in place.

Nothing special about this place but the rates for race weekend, we'll pass next time. Forget the in-room breakfast muffins, go to Bill's Bread and Breakfast over in Putnam. Attached Mexican restaurant/bar either closed wicked early or wasn't open, can't tell. Putnam rolls up the road by 8.

Terrible!

I would give all zero's if that was possible. Hotel was absolutly discusting. Room was dirty, not in the messy kind of way, but the dirt and grim kind of way. Was only in the room 15 minutes and left. When I was going to check out, another guest was talking to the front desk about calling the police and even said they should call since they have called for the same issue in the past. DONT STAY HERE!

Wasn't what I was expecting .

Pros: The room did have a fridge and microwave.
Cons: The hotel/rooms need to be updated and/or renovated.
Location: The hotel is ideal for travelers. You couldn't ask for a better location. it has easy access to the highway.
For the money we paid for the room, we were expecting a better quality room.

Great Service, Not the best place

I loved the service. The woman behind the counter was fantastic. She was a lot of help, but the hotel itself was not what I expected. Not great..

Hotel is not new, but extremely clean. All employees very helpful and friendly. Can't say anything bad. Mexican restaurant Jalisco, attached was super, great food, great staff, always delicious. The complimentary breakfast was on time each morning and just what we needed.Hotel is only 7 minutes from Thompson Speedway. Perfect. Downtown Putnam is very quaint with a variety of places to go.

Not much there.

Pros: Close to event I was attending.
Hotel was clean but run down. Not too appealing from the outside. One night stay was fine.

Grounds are not taken care of. Shabby, shabby, shabby inside & outside. If not prepaid & staying for longer than 1 night, would not have stayed here.
