Nice hotel but very hard to find

Posted Aug 2, 2015
My GPS only got me close, Had to call to get final directions. Hotel is only accessible directly going N on Rt83 which is under construction. I was going S and had to go thru Target parking lot. It is red roof building just N of Target. Hotel is good value, staff helpful, room clean and quiet.

A clean, low cost stay with no frills or luxuries

Clean, comfortable but could sure use a facelift but that would probably warrant raising the price per night.

Comfortable and clean

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: New furniture
Did not know that this was a motel and not a hotel when I booked the room, and had to lug up a lot of stuff to the third floor, but the room was extremely clean and seemed to have completely new furniture. Had no problems with the staff, even though I asked to take off the safe fee ($1.50) a little late and they had to reimburse my card. I also only stayed one night instead of my intended two, but again, staff was polite and professional.

Was close to family.

Pros: close to family
Location: Only thing we used was Denney's in the area.
Room was pleasing but had to ask for hair dryer. Liked the wood floor. And sink separate from bath.

Close to down town Chicago.

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: It was really close to down town Chicago without being in it. It had beautiful landscaping, lots of room for the dog to run.
Cons: Just because someone is in a wheel chair doesn't mean that they don't need counter space in the bathroom. They don't have anywhere for toiletries.
Location: We were only there one day, but they were just a block away from a Denneys and there were a whole lot of stores around.
I was really disappointed that I had to take a handicap room. I really don't like them. But, they had been sold out the night before and didn't have a lot that day, so I took it because the rate was so good.

Pleasantly Surprised

Posted Jun 1, 2015
I had stayed at a Red Roof Inn before and was not impressed. However, I thought I would give it another try and was pleasantly surprised. The room was nice, clean, and up to date. The only thing that could have been cleaned a bit more was the toilet; outside was clean, but the inside of the toilet was not the cleanest. The room needed some sound proofing - our neighbors were extremely loud and obnoxious. We could hear kids running through the room next door, slamming doors, running in and out and running down the entry way outside. We were trying to sleep in, and it was impossible with that going on at 7am. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.
