“Going back again soon!!!!”

My husband had a business thing first thing on a Monday morning so we took a night for ourselves and drove up on Sunday. We checked in and loved the room. You open the door and already have a view of the river. It's a great location, a short walk to town and quiet. We have to go back again soon and have already re-booked here, can't wait.

Area recommendations

With everything within a mile or so you can walk absolutely everywhere. My favorite was Port City Java since they closed all locations that were near where I live. And the food.........YUMMY!!!! The George was excellent!!! The Brewery was good to for burgers and beer and wine.

“Wishing I was there RIGHT now...wonderful staff and hotel.”

This was my first experience using Expedia Services and it was great. Very smooth transactions and service. The Best Western Plus Coatline Inn was WONDERFUL! The hotel was clean and the staff was EXCELLENT. They were full of recommendation of local fopod and entertainment. They were always VERY helpful and friendly. I will definitely be returning for future business and definitely recommending this hotel to family and friends..

Nightlife

The Cotton Exchange and Market St/Front St is within walking distance and has alot of great places to eat and wonderful nightlife. The Seafood down in Wilmington is wonderful. If you don't mind a drive--check out the Dockside. Great food as always!!

“"Impressive!"”

Beautiful view, classy clean room, comfortable king bed, queit area, private piers, good free breakfast....

Downtown Wilmington is fun - lots of shops/restaurants.

“nice location”

enjoyed the cool breezes while at the outside sitting areas and the security gates that allowed access to the outside river area but required hotel room card to have access back to hotel unless coming through hotel lobby. only problem with outside security gates was homeless men sleeping on pier at night. we had not problem with them because they were friendly and respectful. outside riverwalk and pier at hotel were very nice to sit out during day or night. we enjoyed hotel being right on the riverwalk to have access to shops and restaurants and walking distance to downtown shops. beach was not as far from hotel as thought. hotel room was clean and nice, but just smaller than used to for 3 to 4 people. there was not fridge or microwave in the room. bathroom did not have an air vent either. staff was extremely nice and helpful at all times. hotel was quiet. parking area was roomy and nice. breakfast was served to room but the egg & ham omelet was microwaved and dry, complementary breakfast taste & choices were lacking and could use improvement. would consider coming back to this hotel if needed to stay in downtown area though because of price and location.

“A Waterfront Surprise”

The view from these rooms is priceless, and the location is so convenient for shopping, flying, and sightseeing. Do not expect too much of the breakfast. It is delivered in a basket to your room. The muffins are terrific! The omelets are fast food type packages that are reheated--okay to fill your tummy but not very tasty. They give you plenty of food, however.

Area recommendations

Go to the Cotton Warehouse Market. I got some terrific buys. I especially loved a boutique called Elizabeth's.I found unique clothing for great prices. The art and handmade scarves at the other shops are better quality than those found in most tourist spots. The only other town that had comparable shopping was Asheville.

“Cape Fear River View”

The accomodations were exactly what I expected. The view of the sunset over the Cape Fear River was fabulous! I wasn't truly impressed by the cold "hard-boiled" egg as part of my breakfast choices but next time I will make sure that I have a microwave in the room.

“small, clean, comfortable”

Everything worked, room was large, low key, quiet, and very comfortable. Only recommendation to improve: the complimentary breakfast, muffins too small. I can live with that. We will return.
