Pros: Food and the beds are comfortable
Cons: The front desk needs to improve there customer service etiquette
Location: The location is great and nice and quiet
The front desk staff is VERY Rude. When i checked in the clerk was dismissive of any questions i asked. She did not inform me the Clarion was a pet friendly and the room i was given was on this corridor-(allergic to cats) and the clerk was the manager. The next morning went to front desk requesting to be moved as the rug smelled like pee and i seen a dog in the hall. The desk clerk found it funny when i ask if pets were allowed and proceeded to move me three rooms dowm on the same corridor. Once i requested the number for the corporate office and to cancel my reservations they mived me on a different corridor. The housekeeping was the plesant but they didnt claen the room one of the days and when i called the front desk that evening its was a different clerk i informed them my room including beds was not cleaned he remained quiet until i said hello. Then stated i will let housekeeping know tomorrow.

great rooms & food but nasty front desk lady

The hotel was pretty awesome and would have gotten a perfect rating if it wasn't for the lady at the front desk whose name was Frieda (or something to that effect). She was a bit nasty with me when I had asked her for my form back to put the information of my vehicle on it. Other than that the free breakfast in the morning was awesome and the room was very nice.

Everyone that I interacted with at the hotel was professional and extremely helpful. The bed was absolutely horrible, I didn't sleep for two nites. It felt like I was sleeping on bed springs. I did mention this to the check out individual, and he remarked, "well we like the beds and I think they are comfortable." I had a room with double beds and both beds felt the same. I had to remove the linens and spread from one bed to the other to get some padding. The bed was awful, everything else was very nice.

Please accept our apologies regarding the bedding. As everyone's preference is a bit different, we try to accommodate most tastes. I think my front desk person, though, needed to be more sympathetic than you experienced. I will work on improving that. Perhaps, our king beds might be more to your liking?

Easy access to major interstate

Pros: Nice size refrigerator, free internet and easy access to 95.
Cons: Replace iron board cover and update lamps in rooms.
Location: NA
Nice, clean, comfortable and reasonable price. I like the larger size refrigerator and free WiFi. I would like to have seen current decor in the rooms (i.e., lamps, dresser and carpet). Somewhat dated. If you are not looking for new, fresh contemporary design this is the place to stay. Overall, very nice.

If you have allergies, take a pass

Cons: Thoroughly clean and regularly service the HVAC, stop using bleach to clean your bathrooms to the degree that it leaves a stinky bleach odor.
Location: Nothing
I stayed 4 nights. I'm accustomed to staying in Choice Hotels so my rating is relative to other Choice Hotels. One of my pet peeves is hotels that never change the HVAC filters. If you see dust caked in the HVAC outlet, you know it's bad because the filter is so clogged that the air dirt is being forced through into the outlet vent, and that was the case! At this point, allergy sufferers are headed for grief. Now the good...hotel staff was very nice, attentive, and cordial. The hotel updated the lobby nicely as you see in the photos. The food in restaurant/bar was decent. I ate there all four nights because this hotel is not near any restaurants. In fact, I believe a lot of people frequented the restaurant/bar that were not guests. The included hot breakfast was also decent. Now the not-so-good. not sure if all Philly water has a 'pipey' smell, but the water coming from the faucet had what I consider a strong odor. The bathroom had sort of a stinky bleach smell that never left. Until I complained, the hotel venting system was not on, which is not so good for getting ready in the bathroom in the morning. The printers were non-functional t in the 'business center so I had to go to the front desk. Not a big deal, but the computer was painfully slow so to get all the way to a boarding pass print, and then be unable to print was frustrating. The front desk printed it out instead. Bottom line, good price for what you get in this area, but would not stay again.
