“Grandma traveling alone”

Pros: On a scale of 10, I'd give it an 8. It was located about 2 blocks west of I-95 with easy on/off ramps plus a Mall very close. Several chain restaurants nearby. Bathroom clean, bed clean and comfy, carpet clean. Breakfast ok; opened at 6 weekdays and 7 weekends and my early schedule meant I missed out. Liked the under-building well-lit parking as I was driving a rental and felt it was safer there. Lots of hot water for shower. New TVs. Very quiet; did not hear any "neighbors." Free cookies at registration desk were very good, but disappeared quickly so you have to get them when you see them. Cons: Maid forgot to leave plastic cups and soap one night. Neither the clock alarm nor the automated telephone wake-up service worked, even tho it said my early time request was "confirmed." Would have missed my early return flight if I didn't set the alarm on my trusty cellphone. When I checked out (5:15 a.m.) could not find the clerk. He was apparently asleep in the next room and it took several loud yells on my part to wake him. In spite of insufficiencies, I would probably stay there again unless I found another motel nearby with better rates.

Area recommendations

No recommendation on lodging, but would recommend visiting the DuPont Nemours Mansion in Wilmington, DE. Outstanding. You must get reservations ahead, however, as they sell out often.

“Satisfied Stay”

I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel for the price I paid. I was looking for an inexpensive hotel for an interview I had nearby. My room was comfortable, clean, and more than adequate. I was even offered freshly baked cookies upon my arrival which was a good bed time snack. The breakfast included had room for improvement, but again for the price, it was just fine.

“Quiet Little Inn”

“Good value, good room, good service”

I was very pleaseantly surprised and pleased with this hotel. I had not stayed here or at any Country Inns in the past. Shortly after arriving in my room the front desk called asking if the room was to my satisfaction. I have never had that happen before. The room was a good size, clean and quiet. They have a lending library program called Read it and Return so I also got a good book to read that I still have and will return when I return in a couple of weeks. This is where I'll stay every time I return to my client in that area.

“You can't do better”

The hotel was very clean and new. The staff were extremely helpful, and the location was wonderful-- within walking distance of a number of good restaurants and stores. It is also only a mile from the casino at Delaware Park. We are planning to go back there in another week.
