Just okayPosted Jun 22, 2015
Overall stay was just okay. Won't return. Had issues w/staff. The Bar tender was awful. Hotel is out dated to say the least. It's a great location and I guess that's how they get away with it.

Came for the bike racePosted May 18, 2015
Cons: See above.
Location: Willmington bicycle race and WIntertur gardens and museum.
My husband and I were given a room close to the elevator and also the ice machine. Before we unpacked my husband went down to the reception and asked to move to a quieter room. Thankfully we were moved otherwise our two night stay would have been horrible. The bathroom layout is also awful. I moved the amenities stand as it was right by the sink. There was no room to put makeup or other products. The room definitely was not designed properly. Even our light fixture wasn't level on the wall. The housekeeping was good and the woman very friendly. Upon checkout we overheard that a group of basketball kids were running down the halls and knocking on everyones doors. They were also loud and up all night. Glad we didn't encounter that but there were a number of guests not pleased. We might stay here again given the hotels convenience to the bicycle race but other than that would spend a bit more and choose another chain.

Pros: Helpful, friendly staff, clean, updated room and main areas. Complimentary wireless
In town for the weekend. Although a hotel shuttle was available I walked the short distance from the train station. Check-in was smooth and quick and staff helpful and friendly.

quick overnight after a function in wilmingtonPosted May 12, 2015
we live about 15 miles down I95 in Newark, Delaware from this hotel. we decided to stay here as we were attending a function in a local Wilmington theater, and did not want to make the drive home after a night of partying. the hotel staff was very friendly, and the hotel had a clean and safe atmosphere. I was very pleased with the size of the room, and the bed was comfy. large bathroom as well, and AC was excellent. overall, a good value for our needs................

Amazing time at the Hilton!!!Posted Mar 29, 2015 on Hotels
We had a wonderful stay. The pool was closed, but we had a wonderful reception with free wine, and cheese and crackers. All the staff, Sara the receptionist, Julie, Brian the waiter, Doug the bartender, Matt, and the staff who's names we did not learn were all very friendly and courteous. We would definitely come back!

Worth "Checking Into"!Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Location to theatre, room & dining facilities, ease of getting in and out, nice, helpful staff.
Cons: the remaining renovations that were probably overdue..
Location: that's right on the website.
We had tickets to a show @ The Grand Opera House in Wilmington, DE. This hotel is literally a block + away from the venue. A few places still show some hard wear & tear (ex., panel in elevator), but our room was spacious and comfortable. Parking in the garage is convenient, safe, and price is probably average for overnight in a city, but not outrageous for a night on the town. We were happy to have a chance to see a show in a great venue and have a welcoming, lovely place to return to. The staff was wonderful from beginning to end...so friendly, helpful, knowledgable, etc.
