Pros: Breakfast, coffee.
This hotel was a small, comfortable place. It's nicely maintained, and included free breakfast. While not gourmet, it was a huge notch above typical continental offerings. Also, the coffee was great, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm really impressed with Hampton Inns these days. I will certainly stay here again when in the area.

Pros: Location is nicely secluded, but convenient. Patio area was beautiful and relaxing.
Cons: Shower/Toilet area needs maintenance/remodeling.
Pleasant. Breakfast was nice. Nice location We were in town for a campus visit and beach

Good location but needs better service

Location: Great location near the beach and plenty of shopping close by.
We chose this hotel based on its location and our previous experience at other Hampton Inn hotels. While the location was perfect, we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of our room and the poor service overall. The bed was sloppily made, something I have not seen in years, and the overall appearance of the room was just not great. The complementary breakfast and service was horrible. No one cleaning off the tables or serving area, no silverware, cold and stale food, empty food baskets and not arranged so that people could easily get around. It was one of the worst complementary breakfast experience I've ever had.

Pros: Close to beach...rooms were nice. Bed was REALLY comfy. Great B-Fast in the AM.
Cons: Pool needs a good update and cleaning.
Location: BEACH!

Surprisingly nice hotel close to the beach

We booked this hotel last minute for the Labor Day weekend. The hotel was surprisingly nice, located about 5-10 minutes from Wrightsville Beach. Breakfast was great, several options were available. The front desk was often unmanned (weird for a holiday weekend), and had to wait for staff to arrive during check-in and check-out. Our room also was very humid at night, we could never get the right temperature on the thermostat. Overall, I would book at the hotel again.

Impressed at the low quality of food at breakfast

Nothing different from what one would expect from a three start hotel, except the low quality of "breakfast" provided. Your corporate approach to low quality, packaged food is dismal. Very bad corporate strategy.

Staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel is showing its age. Serious upgrades and maintenance are needed. The bed was hard as a rock. Good location, but not worth what you're paying with so many other hotels available nearby.
