“Microtel in Carolina Beach is a good buy.”

Room was big enough and very clean. Quiet also. Located very close to several restaurants and gift shops. Nice pool and sunning area. Very quiet. In all exactly what you want for a weekend getaway or a one or two night business trip. Room safe is big enough for cameras and small valuables and stuff.

Free long distance (handy for business) Free wifi (handy as well!) Free breakfast....what more do you need? Fridge in the room, lots of towels...attentive staff and this was in the WINTER at the beach! Only thing we could have used was an in room coffee pot, I don't like going out of the room till I have showered and HAD coffee, so that didn't sit well with me!

“Good value for the money”

We were impressed by the staff's helpfulness. The variety at breakfast was more than usually found in a continental offering. There was a perfume/air freshener odor in our room which was a bit annoying. Overall a good choice, conveniently located and well-maintained.

Above expectation, for the price we paid I didn't think that the hotel will be as nice as it was, I didn't expect that breakfast will be included. The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff was extremely nice. it was great

We always stay here since they are so close to my sister's house, and we've never had a bad stay. My parents also stay here every trip to Carolina Beach.

We wanted a hotel close to the beach but not right on the beach. This one was a pleasant surprise indeed. The morning breakfast was quite nice and the lady who ran it was very pleasant. It was a very pleasant stay and very good for the price. We will be going back.

“Great economical price with comfort”

I was a little leary about staying here from some of the reviews I read online. After some further research of more recent reviews other than what just shows up on Expedia, I felt better about staying here. Upon arrival, I was extremely impressed with the hotel staff. The manager was very helpful in giving us advice on the area and although check in time is not until 3pm, they went ahead and made sure the room was ready and we got to go into our room around 1:40pm and get setteled. Which helped us out so we could drive on to Wilmington to see the fireworks. The breakfast was the only thing that we were not impressed with. There was no fruit, just cereal, muffins, bagels and only one waffle maker, which you had to stand in line to make, but for the price, it was overall a great place to stay. They did say they are considering getting an additional waffle maker. The room was great, the beds were comfortable, the staff was exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful! The beds were super comfortable! Its in a great location to the beach, restraunts, stores, etc....everything you could need is close to you. My husband, myslef and my 2 kids would definitely stay here again!

“Customer Service First !!”

For a "no frills" hotel, the service was "top notch". The reservation was in the system just as we made it with the correct room and specifics. When we got to the room and found a problem, the staff quickly found us another room and helped us move. Friendly and helpful personnel made our stay very enjoyable.
