Lovely house near historic areaPosted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: The intimate cozy feel of the place.
Cons: Be sure to call first and ask about parking; it will make things much simpler in the long run.
Location: The historic area is near but you may want to drive to it as it is still many blocks away and parking there is very reasonable.
We are very glad we stayed at this BNB; the owner was delightful and went out of her way at every turn to make our stay enjoyable. We had a full, and I mean FULL, breakfast every morning and nice afternoon snacks, enough to delay dinner for a few hours. We don't normally stay at BNBs, but decided to this time so that we could get a better true picture of the area. It turned out to be a good move and we felt we had a very good feel of the area after 3 days. It was fun.

My First Stay at a Bed & BreakfastPosted Nov 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Sophie will make your stay special. The food and hospitality are excellent. She made me feel at home away from home. I would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to family and friends. There is no sign in front of the house so just look for the address and park in back of the house. The entrance is from 16th street which is a one-way street.

Very nice! About a mile from front street!Posted Oct 23, 2014
We had a great stay! We showed up really late in in the evening and our host was up waiting for us and even cooked for us and made sure we got settled in. Our host had a list of events in the area all printed out and ready for us in our room. We felt very much at home there. Would definitely go back there again!

Just what we needed.Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Sofie was great!
Location: Front street just a few minutes away. The beach is 20~ minutes away.
My wife and I were looking for a nice place to get away to for the weekend. This place was great. Sofie made us feel at home, showing us with wine and good eats. Breakfast was one of the best parts of the trip. We got to meet others who were staying there and dine with them. Sofie made pretty much whatever we wanted. Also, 15 minute walk tops (or 5 min. drive) to front street. I would recommend this place and we plan on going back.

Lovely character home full of antique furniture and unusual furnishings. Sophie is a lovely warm, welcoming lady who fixed up a different breakfast everyday.

Important InfoPosted Jul 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a B AND B, so it was necessary to carry our bags to the second floor. Only one room is "en suite", however that info was not on the website. I called ahead and found this out. If I had not my husband would have been VERY UNHAPPY!

Great Guest House for a historic feelPosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: The hostess Sophie was wonderful. Her breakfasts and afternoon snacks were so good and she shows her hospitality through her food.
Cons: Old homes needs constant upkeep.A few creaky steps and needs some paint. The tubs have shower curtains for the surround which make showering difficult.
Location: Only 15 blocks from the river with many great restaurants and bars.
My husband & I went to Wilmington for the first time for his cousin's wedding. I decided to try a B & B for the first time. We loved it! The hostess is very social and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Wilmington!
