A Nightmare

Posted Jun 22, 2015
We went to Delaware for a family party and we stayed in this hotel to rest during the night to travel back to NY the next day but we couldn't rest because the noise did not let us rest. The hotel housekeepers speak to loud in the hallways since early in the morning. I feel like I lost my money. This hotel is too expensive with a poor quality, very old furniture and beds are very uncomfortable

Kerkwood Soccer Tournament

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Close to soccer tournament
Cons: Hotel needs to be updated and better mechanically maintained.
We were staying at the hotel with a large group from our soccer team. The air conditioning any many of the rooms was not working and one of the families were greeted with a flooded bathroom upon arrival. I would have expected more from a Ramada.

A quick overnight stay

Posted Jun 5, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Keep it the way it is!!!
Location: Sorry, we were here for a funeral!
It was a pleasent hotel, easy to get to with a VERY friendly & helpful staff! The room was CLEAN and quiet, the way I like my "away from home" rooms to be!!!

Pros: The hotel was as close to University of Delaware as we could get to attend our daughter's graduation.
Cons: The free breakfast was not worth the price. While it seems wrong to complain about something that is "free" it is part of what you are paying for.
The facility is very dated but generally clean. If you need a place in Newark/Wilmington to spend a night, it will do. But make time to obtain breakfast somewhere other than the free breakfast provided by the hotel. Stale cereal, tasteless lukewarm eggs, and mysterious hash browns that looked to be cooked with cabbage. Coffee at the breakfast buffet was as bad as the in room coffee you could make with your 1980's coffee maker provided. Worst of all, the rooms are full of signs telling you how much you will be charged if you decide to take something home with you. Makes you wonder who else you are staying with in this hotel if people will steal awful, dated hotel room supplies and need to be warned repeatedly in writing how much they will be charged for each item. Example: cracked old in-room hair dryer: $30.

Cons: recepcionist need to be friendly and care about clients
asked for a roll-away bed and the recepcionist (guy) did not care and just said, we don't have any, very rude like he did not care about my request.

Subpar hotel, more low-end hotel/motel

Posted May 16, 2015
Pros: Less things to like than dislike, difficult to find anything likeable. Cleanliness was acceptable, but not outstanding.
Cons: Read section about the experience, too many things to list, cannot recommend hotel
Location: Location is a good setting, nearby Newark and University of Delaware, good travel access and nearby 495 and 95.
Very disappointing stay overall. Hotel in fair condition and exterior/interior in fair overall condition. Attention to detail as well as fit and finish generally lacking. Very poor attention to detail inside hotel, such as lights burnt out, trash on the floor, chipped paint, handrails for stairwell slightly damaged. Overall low quality appearance of furnishings throughout building. Hotel room itself was fair, generally clean and no major issues. Air conditioning unit did not work properly, occasionally would not turn in, even with fan set to highest setting. Bathroom unit very small and the toilet itself extremely poor, looked like something that belongs in a grade school, not a hotel room that is charging money. Too many advertisements and threats to visitor about extraneous charges if anything is disturbed/removed from room/vandalized. Would not recommend this hotel to anybody, not worth the cost of staying.
