“Pet friendly beach hotel!”

This was our second stay at this Red Roof Inn & it was as we expected - older but felt clean & was close to the beach & restaurants and was pet friendly so we were able to bring our dog to the beach, which my husband and I were very excited about :) Felt safe walking him at night. We will likely stay here again, especially for our next doggy beach visit :) Thanks

“Fine for the price”

For the price and that it was only a one night stay, Red Roof Inn is pretty good. I'd say pay the extra if you want more comfort in your bed or a little more space to move around in for more than one night. I had a smoking room for my friend and of course it smelled like smoke but it was clean. The front desk worker was very nice and the breakfast was decent.

“Do NOT stay at this hotel”

A friend and I came down to North Carolina from New York, after a long journey we got to the Red Roof Inn and were greeted by a less then friendly front desk worker. When we got to our room we discovered a less then clean room but figured hey for the price it'll work. When we checked the cleanliness of the bathroom we discovered a bathtub that was half full of water. We laughed it off and went about our evening. We should have taken that as a warning for things to come. When we returned from exploring downtown Wilmington we got back to the room settled in and found bed bugs on one of our beds. We grabbed our things and left immediately. When we went down to tell the front desk man that we were leaving because of BED BUGS he did not seem at all surprised. Probably because that was not the first time he had heart that complaint. Do NOT book this hotel!

“One night in Wilmington”

Carpet had some stains and tub dripped. Mattress was a little old(sagged in middle) Little noisy being along a major road, but then again all hotels/motels were on same road. Friendly staff. For the price would stay again. Not a 10 but no major problems. Would rate a 7 out of 10.

“good but needs some cleaning”

room was OK to the exception that carpet needed cleaning. it was dirty. You couldn't walk without shoes. Otherwise it was OK for the price. Evening staff and housekeeping was very friendly. Location is good for shopping and dining

“terrible”

The room smelled bad, it was not clean, the furniture very old, and the shower and restroom in bad condition.

“Wouldn't mind to go back”

So, I decided to stay here because it was only for one night after reading the reviews. They should probably try to update the hotel a little but everything was fine. the room had a microwave,fridge, and ironing board and iron and a closet type thing to hang your clothing up. For some reason the lights and clock was unplugged but that is no big deal to me. The tub part of the shower did not work but I really did not care about that. I would say bring your own pillows because the ones there are to soft and give you no support. The pool is not that big but it was clean. The room smelled nice and was nice and cool when we checked in. The hotel is very close to shopping and dinning which is a plus and it is not that far from Wrightsville beach. So if you are not crazy picky you will be fine here.

“Good for the Price”

The room was clean and safe to stay in. We didn't spend much time in our hotel room so just to sleep, its worth the money!

“Not my favorite place”

Toilet broke after one flush- we had to switch rooms. The next night my daughter had left a little food out all day so I wasn't too surprised to see a cockroach on the nightstand. I held strong and stayed the two more nights we had scheduled. The hair dryer was broken but they fixed the problem by our last day..... My other complaint would be the continental breakfast- minimal- no fruit- and on the weekdays no coffee! That was a drag! I could have complained and waited for them to make it ( I'm talking 9:00) but there's a Dunkin Donuts next door. That was our experience.
