I have had many stays at RRI but never again after this one. The carpet was grossly stained. The room was not clean. The clock radio had much dust on it. The door did not have a good seal at the bottom so you could see outside. I couldn't shower in the bathroom because it did not appear clean. I highly advise anyone from staying there.

Bad experience....

Cons: Communication....
My daughters and I were traveling to the area and were caught in accident traffic for 3-4 hours. We called twice to let the hotel staff know that we were going to be late. They said "no problem". Upon arriving at the hotel around 4 in the morning we didn't have a room. Apparently the evening registration clerk failed to let the night shift staff know.

Pros: There was nothing our family enjoyed about this lodging.
This location failed to offer the room booked through Expedia. Evaulation of the location was in poor condition, grim and grey, professionalism of staff was under par. Never experienced booking issues before our family had to wait 3 hours after arriving at 11:00 pm for Expedia to relocate our lodging to another facility due to the failure of the Inn. I would warn those that the Red Roof Inn at this location is unfit, unsafe and personally will not start of any visit/vacation in a positive manner.

i reserved two rooms one with a king bed and the other two beds. when i got there they said that the reservation is for two rooms with two bed each.?????? wifi was succ

Pros: The location was convenient for our business in Wilmington and the room rate was much better than most other places. That's about all that was good.
Cons: See the 'experience' narrative above. Everything smelled bad and the bed needed to be replaced. The telephone wasn't user friendly to call another roo
Location: Beach, shopping, restaurants and more beach.
We booked this hotel using Expedia based on physical location in Wilmington NC and the good rate. It is not located near a beach, but is on a main street in town--not the nicest but seemingly in a safe area and the facility looks clean from the outside. Fortunately, it was fairly quiet both weekend nights with the slight exception of the large barking dog in the room next door who did not appreciate being left alone. Upon opening the room door, it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The armoire for hanging clothes smelled like dirty socks. The bed linens smelled strongly like cooking grease that did not dissipate over our 2 day stay. The king bed dipped in the middle, so both sleepers "rolled" to the center most of the time. There were no plugs in either the sink or the bathtub and the tub was heavily rust stained. The floors and tub otherwise appeared clean enough and the room itself was a good size. Security cameras were positioned to watch the walkways which should have given a sense of security but instead made us question why they should be so prominent. Would we stay here again? Absolutely no.

Terrible hotel

Huge gap under door, paint peeling off walls, blankets and bed spreads dirty, floors were dirty, no garbage can in room. The next morning we went to continental breakfast and there were only 2 muffins on the counter and when we went to the front desk to ask where the food was the front clerk came out of the back eating. We left and will never go back.

Had to move room at 11pm

Cons: security seems to bee lacking, no control of noisy guests who had friends visiting with motorbikes etc.
Original room was missing lamps and coffee maker. receptionist offered other rooms but they were in a similar condition. After trying to sleep had to move in the end to the opposite end of the motel at 11pm due to noisy party in corridor complete with barking dog!

Run down property

Would NOT recommend this property at all. I have stayed at Red Roof Inns before and they were far superior to this property in every way. The bathroom was dirty, the toilet was broken and leaking water all night, the curtain rod came loose from the wall when we tried to close the curtain and the smoke alarm had been taken off the wall and was sitting on the dresser. Add in a very loud, obnoxious neighbor and it was a POOR hotel choice all around.
