"Excellent service"
Staff went above and beyond to help us with any question! Location was a little far out but not bad if you have a car or take a cab. Breakfast was okay. Rooms were spacious and clean, but they do need a little refresh on the beds themselves which were too soft for me.

Pocket Guide: Winchester, Hampshire Green/Sustainable Hotels

The ancient capital of England, and once the seat of King Alfred, historic Winchester is famous for its magnificent cathedral begun in 1079, and venerable Winchester College founded in 1382. The picturesque area around the Cathedral Green has changed little over the centuries, and offers good places to eat, drink and shop. A short walk across the water meadows, the 12th-century Hospital of St Cross is England’s most perfectly preserved almshouse.
