More of an inn than a hotel.Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: The comfort, and the quaint display of antiques in the room and in the halls and lobby.
Cons: The meals I had there were good, but not exactly five star. The food was satisfying, and I ate there twice, but an upgrade would be nice.
Location: The neighborhood looked nice, and I was able to fuel up on the way to I-81, but I was there to break up a road trip, and had no inclination to tour.
Strasburg is halfway to my destination. I wanted a place to stop to break up the trip, a place that provided a good night's sleep, a hot shower, and a comforting meal at a reasonable price. I had stopped there on the way south two weeks ago, so this was my second stay. The Strasburg Hotel provided the warmth that the usual cookie-cutter rooms in the chain hotels could not. I save the Hotel on my Garmin so that it will readily available on the next trip. Check out the website. It is as advertised.

My own personal half way house!Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: The comfy cozy part.
Cons: The hamburger platers.
Location: I was there for room and board and never explored the neighborhood.
Strasburg was half way on my trip to the Carolinas and seemed cozy and quaint. The cost of the room was not bad either. The reality lived up to expectations. I parked on the street just steps from the front door. No elevator, but the stairs were not a problem. The pub was at the foot of the stairs. Great Appletinis, mediocre burger plater. Fine dinning in the back, but I was traveling alone and preferred the Pub atmosphere. Very friendly bartender and front desk staff. Very comfortable bed and room. It was a tad small, but that is just part of the quaint and cozy. The bathroom was also small, but extremely clean, with plenty of hot water. I will be staying there on the way home.

Get what you pay for I guess...Posted Mar 23, 2015
Holes in sheets, 3rd floor smelled like moth balls, all channels on tv were fuzzy, heater sound like a freight train making it hard to sleep. Best part was food in the pub down stairs.

My wife thought it was a romantic place to stay.Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, good food, clean rooms and pet friendly.
Cons: Nothing without changing the hotel's history & charm.
Location: We were just passing thru with snow on the ground. Did not look around because of the cold & snow.
Friendly staff, good food, clean rooms and pet friendly.

A bit disappointedPosted Dec 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Beautiful building but definitely showing it's age. Roof leaked into shower with rusty stains on floor. Great breakfast. Nice people.

Hotel Strasburg - Seen Better DaysPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly and very willing to assist.
Cons: Taking care of reservations & billing
I booked two rooms (one for my wife & I and one for friends). When the friends got there ahead of us... NO reservations... OK... got that taken care of... kinda... We were placed over the bar... not a real good idea since the hotel was having live entertainment that night (loud live entertainment)... Asked to switch rooms... they tried to give me a room that had leaks in the bathroom... try again... third time was a charm... but still didn't get the king bed my wife requires... Then on the way home, we found out that our friends paid for their room which was already paid for... The rooms are old and in need of repair... But it is over 100 years old and that's what I like about getting off the beaten path.

Charming intimate Victorian gemPosted Dec 1, 2014
The pub was directly under our room on a Saturday night with live music,so unless your going to close the pub or stay up late you may want a different room. But the staff were great helpful lots of southern charm. Lots of antiques goes along with the old building. Four adults in our early fifties and over all we enjoyed our stay

Escape from the ordinaryPosted Dec 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
Picturesque, friendly, homey. Not at all cookie cutter. Rooms could use at least one brighter light for reading etc. Plan to stay again.
