“One step above Super 8”

This is a bare bones hotel. The sleeping room was clean but the mirrors in room were not. Internet does not work well AT ALL. There's substantial noise from the highway if your room is on the back side of property. Next time, I'll pay extra and stay at Holiday Inn or Hampton. This works if you just want a bed to rest your head.

“Bad, bad, bad!”

This hotel is horribly kept up. The wallpaper is falling off the walls, the stench was horrible, and there were stray hairs all over the bathroom. Would not recommend!

“Not as expected”

Room may be non-smoking now but that was obviously not always the case. Odious smell of smoke lingered. Mini fridge and microwave placements showed they were an afterthought. Decor dated. Dingy outdoor stairways leading to 2nd and 3rd floors.

“great, would def go back!”

I checked in alot later than planned the guy that greeted me was very nice (James) and informative. Breakfast was decent, the room was comfortable and clean with a microwave, fridge and coffee maker.

“For the price was a good value but next time will upgrade to something else”

My room was a no smoking room but was still musty. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Ice machines were broken on two of the three flows. I was on the first floor and had to go up to the third floor to get ice. Good coffee and continental breakfast. All rooms encircle the pool. On the first floor kids were playing loudly until after 11pm. The AC unit was very loud when the compressor kicked in. It woke me up each time it happened. After two nights there I was ready to go home and get a good nights sleep. That sounds like a lot of negatives - but the price was very good. Still, next time I will spend more and go to a nicer place.

North of Front Royal there are some newer hotels that I will try next. Actually, when I visit this area I try to find a bed and breakfast. But this trip was short notice and I wasn't able to find anything.

“Never thought I would like a motel. But this one worked.”

when we pulled up my daughter said it all when she said the hotel looked sketchy. We have had bad experiences in the past with older motels. However this one is in a small town next to the historic section of town and was comfortable and quite. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved the mountains which were close, the history, I can't describe how beautiful it was. We also loved the knotty pine restaurant which had great food.

“Unbelievable deal”

I have never been as impressed with a "budget" hotel as I was with this hotel. From check in to check out everything was first-rate. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were attractive and spotless, the breakfast bar was excellent--I've been in hotels that were much more expensive that weren't as satisfactory. Also, very pet friendly.
