“Pet Friendly and Convenient”

Knew from the other Expedia reviews that this was not a "5 Star" Motel ... but wanted a place to stay with our Border Collie, which was close to the National Park and this was it!! Very friendly staff - small breakfast provided - quick coffee, juice and cereal before heading out. We were on a budet so the free breakfast was welcome. All in all, we had a wonderful time. Only downside was that people with pets have to stay in smoking rooms - but, unlike other motels, there was a window that actually opened so we were able to "air" out the room just fine. If you are a picky vacationer - stay away - but if you just want a friendly place to stay while visiting Shenendoah National Park - make your reservation.

“Great option and well located”

The bathroom was small, but everything was very clean and we were well satisfied with not only the hotel but the location, which was close to local attractions, shopping and restaurants. They were firm on check out time but did allow us an extra short time when I explained we were loading all the luggage from my daughter's college stay. I would stay there again. The price is quite reasonable. There is a great place across the street that serves superb "Cave burgers" and frozen custard, and inexpensive gas stations and food stores as well within walking distance.

The rooms are very well kept, fresh towels daily, housekeeping service was great.

“Good budget option”

I checked into this motel as a last minute decision to break up a long drive and chose it purely because of its low cost. I was impressed by its value for money. The motel was easy to find, plenty of parking, check in was pleasant and efficient, the lobby area and my non-smoking room were both very clean. I particularly liked the fact that the windows open - quite a rarity these days - which meant fresh air and the sound of birdsong. The motel also has free wifi with an easy and constant connection which was very welcome. In addition to the motel's own features, it's worth mentioning that its location is great for a stopover - there's a large 24 hour grocery store close by and the most incredible burger and frozen custard place (Spelunker's) directly opposite. There's also the usual Mickey D's and BK down the street if that's more your thing.

“Good starting place”

A little hard to find as Front Royal really hasn't the best marked streets and even though Mapquest gave us good directions, the routes were not marked ex. Route 522 disappears in the middle of town, we had to stop and ask directions on where it continues so we could find our Motel. The Motel is in a quiet location close to resturants and shopping and the staff were very nice on giving us locations to the entrance to the Skyline Drive. I would stay their again.

Cheap and comfortable. Stay away from Dean's Steakhouse up the street, over priced, soup was cold, salad was ready for the garbage can.

“Good motel for the price”

The hotel was average but considering the rate it was great. The bed was comfortable, the water in shower was plentiful. There were not enough towels for 3 people but we were given more. It was located near where we wanted to go and the coffee and free donuts and cereal were ok. It served it purpose as a place to sleep. The only complaint is if they know you are coming your room air should be turned on in 95 degree weather.
