Overnight stayPosted Jun 24, 2015
Good location in downtown walking to restaurants and stores. Room was located facing main road so it was noisy. Parking was behind the hotel. The attendant gave us a tour of the old theater which was unexpected. Breakfast was continental which was fine.

Prime location 5 minute walk to train stationPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: Old school hotel attached to theatre for movies and near everything interesting.
Cons: A little rehab.
Location: Great antique shopping and restaurants
Excellent restaurants nearby and plenty of spectacular views within 15 minutes. Quaint downtown area with beautiful artworks and small shops with unique items.

Art Deco in BrattleboroPosted May 19, 2015
Pros: Original art deco design honored and good location.
Cons: Room was very nice but rather dark in décor.
Location: Excellent location with parking a block away. Lots of shopping, superb food store, restaurants and Marlboro downtown campus nearby.
After an initial difficulty with room assignment, we enjoyed the hotel, especially it's convenience to downtown Brattleboro shopping and restaurants. The staff were very nice and helpful.

It's a quirky place with a bit of charm. The rooms are fair sized, the bed is comfortable. Air conditioning is central, so you have no control and it can get kind of warm at night.

a real gem!Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: I felt like I was stepping back in time.
Location: A great escape for a week or weekend of relaxing, antiquing, enjoying great Vermont food and drink! Try the local brews!
Very hospitable staff. Small boutique hotel, an Art Deco/Greco-Roman fantasy set in the foothills of Vermont. Super movie theatre attached -- both popular and unusual films offered. Walking distance to Amtrak station, riverside brewery/restaurant, many other restaurants and shops, Brattleboro Food Co-Op, antique shops.

Great downtown location.Posted Apr 26, 2015
Loved the location and building - like we were stepping back in time. Room was comfortable. Beds could stand to be updated. Kept window open at night due to warm room (old radiators). Fine except near train tracks - would have ears plugs on hand next time we stay.

Neat old school ambiance. Funky and fun.Posted Mar 5, 2015
Stayed overnight with a friend. Great downtown location. Had dinner up the road at the amazing, world class TJ Buckleys. If you travel to Brattleboro, you MUST make a TJ Buckleys reservation. Nice parking lot right next door to hotel. Love the funky building with movie theatre right there. Building is old and has all the character youd want. Room was comfortable with art deco decor, but hot with the old giant radiator that couldnt be turned down. Had to open windows in middle of winter. Would definitely stay again but not in the bed close to the radiator!!
