The Upper Pass Lodge is a must if you need a spot to stay while in the Londonderry, Vermont area!!! Last weekend's snowstorm in Vermont forced us to extend our trip by a day. Found this lodge when looking for another place to stay closer to Okemo Mountain. You don't even need to leave the lodge...room, restaurant, bar and comfy lounge all under one roof...clean too! Vince (co-owner) and Rit (bartender) were both awesome! Both went out of their way to make our stay there enjoyable. And it's close to 4 different mountains in the area 🏂🗻⛷️. The bar only serves beer 🍺, wine 🍷 and spirits 🥃 from Vermont producers. Great that they support local!!!

I was so impressed with our room - both the size and cleanliness - in addition to the pet-friendly policy that didn't charge extra for having them along. There was no fridge or microwave in the room or common areas, but the front desk person was so kind to heat up our food each morning. Everything was wonderful... except for the sound issues. The heating pipes clang loudly and, though I am used to this in many places I've lived, it was unusually loud. A bit like construction. We had a heat pump that I had to shut off at night because the compressor made a constant, faint car alarm sound. What was hardest for me was the lack of soundproofing between the lower and upper levels. Our last night there, people checked in above and I could hear them when they talked (very loudly), walked, and even when they shifted in bed (which made squeaking sounds). Sleep was difficult. If they could mitigate the noise issues, it would be a great place to stay again.

(heat pump noise is a new issue we need to address) If you were to consider a return vist, we have pet friendly rooms on the second floor that may help. We nicely greeted, booking was confusing with online reservation. Staff very attentive and find a solution. Amazing dining options affordable. Bar and cozy common area. Room was very spacious with private deck. Forgot a personal item and was shipped to my residence! Love this fact!

Really nice place. Clean comfortable and friendly.
Five stars for ambience, comfort, cleanliness. Very cozy common area and bar. Location is beautiful. Staff friendly. I rated medium for condition as the place is old and clearly gets well used during ski season. HOWEVER, this is not ugly or bad as in a gross motel with broken stuff and dirt. The room was clean and nice and smelled fine, but the carpets were well worn and there is a lot of wear to the place in general. I did not want to leave too many stars on condition and have folks thinking it was a gleaming hotel, it is not. All this said, I enjoyed it more than a shiny hotel. Really good vibe. I will definitely drive an hour out of my way to stay at Upper Pass when I am back in Vermont.

A good hit or miss hotel.
This stay was hard to judge. I want to really like it. The price was good. It's not a basic hotel, but it doesn't nail fancy either. For every plus, there was an issue. The bed was large, but uncomfortable. It has a fancy tub, but no steps to climb into it. The bathroom was very nice and a great shower, but the door didn't close fully and there is no shelf in it to hold your things. There is a TV, but it's from 25yrs ago. There was also no fridge in the room. There is a restaurant, but it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Which were the first 2 days we were there. It wasn't a bad stay. They set out coffee which was probably the best I've ever had and best of the trip. The food was really good. Wish they were open every day. The staff was very nice and helpful. Able to tell us where to get laundry done and eat on the days they weren't open. Overall it wasn't bad, just not what I would expect. I thought the location was good with lots of things 30 min or less away. But after sleeping on that bed I'll look for a different place to stay

we are both elderly and did not know we had to climb stairs there are up 5 them turn climb two angled stairs and them 5 more stairs I almost fell they is also no one at the desk during the day and only for a few hours at night will never go they again you take a shower and the water is either so hot or goes ice cold

Decent place for the $$$. Would not recommend the restaurant on site. Nice staff and comfy beds. They do allow pets, got woken up by the dog across the hall but I love dogs so it was whatever. Linens and towels should be bleached, spotted stains.

The stay was great! Make sure to make a reservation on open table about a day before if you plan on eating at the restaurant as it's only open a few nights out of the week. The food there was great and fairly priced. The cheese slate was to die for. The televisions are very outdated and emit a high pitched ringing noise which made it unusable for my partner and I. The lounge area is everything you'd want in a cozy vermont cabin. The area was very quiet and made for some of the best sleep i've had recently. Rooms were very clean. Wifi worked well for the most part, less so when a lot of people were using it. The front desk manager was very kind, but seemed to always be running around doing stuff so catch him when you can! Very cute dogs. Thanks for everything!

VT LODGE.
The room could an update mostly new paint. Everything was clean. The bar, restaurant and lounge are the best I have been to. Great place to relax at the end of the day.

OK overnight stay at Upper Pass Lodge,
My wife and I had a nice, overnight stay at the Upper Pass Lodge. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We chose this hotel because it offered a much lower price than the others I could find in the Londonderry / Chester area. The food at their restaurant was reasonably priced and tasty.
