Nice hotel in WindhoekPosted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: Breakfast was included and was exceptional for the value. Facility was clean, staff was helpful and rooms were pleasant.
Cons: No suggestions.
Location: We just stayed one night so I don't know what's near this hotel, but we came in from Hosea Kutako airport and the ride was probably about 20 minutes.
We overnighted at the Safari Hotel before departing to a hunting camp. The hotel was extremely nice and very clean and a great value. I feel the value exceeded what you would pay for a comparable hotel in the United States. Some of our motels cost the same (or more) than this hotel. It was our first trip to Namibia and my husband's first time to Africa, so we were unsure what to expect of the facilities, but our expectations were exceeded. Hotel was excellent and just like anywhere you would stay in the states. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant was a buffet and offered everything you could want from cold cereals and pastries to coffee, hot eggs, meats and toast. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Namibia.

Stayed two nights before a trip. A/C was loud in our room, but otherwise comfortable enough & quiet at night.

Problems with air conditioningPosted Dec 10, 2012
Pros: Good food.
Cons: Old air-conditioning.
Location: Close to my conference centre.
I enjoyed my stay at the Safari Hotel during the week of December 2, 2012. The room is spacious, the hotel's food is very good, and the gardens sorrounding the hotel are very nice. However, the air conditioners are ancient and barely functioning. On the fourth day the air conditioner in my room quit so then I was moved to another room and its air conditioner blew out only hot air so I turned it off and for night had to open up the windows to try to cool down the room. Not a good situation especially since these rooms are classified as Business Class rooms.

Hotel SafariPosted Mar 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
I felt the rate for one night in a three star hotel was expensive at €141 but it stated that airport transfer was included in the price. It turned out that this only applies to the domestic airport which is close by. You must pay for a taxi to the international airport which was a further $ND320 for two people. There was a large cockroach in the room. I had to ring reception for a hairdryer as there was none in the room. As 3 of us were leaving at 6.45am and had breakfast included in our rate, we asked for a breakfast pack to be made up to take with us. When we checked out the next morning there was nothing for us. Overall, the hotel offered very bad value for money and I would not recommend it.

Safari Court Htel, Windhoek, NamibiaPosted Jun 17, 2011 on Hotels.com
Overall there is not much to comment on, but there are a few points which would improve the general standard greatly, some are; 1. A more visible management presents. 2. Even if hotel quite on a Sunday for example, outside area a pool should have tables and chairs dusted off (very bad last Sunday) and all dirty glasses etc removed. 3. I know this is a difficult one, and it occures all over the world, but ALL STAFF should be taught to relaxed, greet guests even if only passing and smile occasionally, IT WILL NEVER HURT! 4. Garden could be beautiful, but lacked a bit of T.L.C. and some water! I enjoyed my stays at the Safari Court in the nineties, and after a long absents still felt it good value for money and overall a fair to good hotel.
