Convenient for town

Posted Mar 4, 2012
Pros: Pool and outdoor seating
Cons: No evening meals
Location: Easy 10mins walk into town, and to nearbye restaurant. Quiet oasis close to the centre of town
Pleasant boutique hotel with a genuine Namibian feel to it. Pretty pool area with outdoor seating. Good breakfasts, indoors or out, but it was a pity there were no facilities for evening dining. The nearest restaurant was 10 mins walk away ("Fusion") where the food was good. "Nice" was also recommended but we didn't go there as it was a bit too far to walk at night, and we didn't want to take the car out. On our first night in Windhoek we stayed at the Hilton, and before leaving we stayed at Villa Verde, and preferred the latter for it's more homely atmosphere.....cheaper, too!

Pros: grounds, terrace
Cons: shabby rooms
obviously an elegant hotel in its time it now needs money spent on it. The terrace and rounds were lovely but the rooms needed upgrading

Love Windhoek

With this hotel dont be fooled by the website! the swimming pool and relaxing areas look very nice and they are however this hotel needs some TLC. The bedrooms looked a little tired. No working safe! No coat hangers in the wardrobes. And noisy aircon! You can get breakfast but thats it there is no resturant for lunch or evening meals. Convenient location near to the polytechnic and easy to get into downtown Windhoek itself. Some of the staff on reception could be a little more helpful and friendly.

A Wonderful Stay

A very pleasant hotel & restaurant. The place is very-well kept, the rooms are large and the restaurant serves good food. All-in-all, one of the nicer places I have stayed at--it has some of the best features of a B & B and some of the best of a hotal.
