Overall lack of commitment to good service

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The facilities are updated and new.
Cons: Everything related to service. Wifi access - there is no point to offering access, if nothing can be up- or down-loaded.
Location: Point Pelee Park.
The facilities are updated and new. The service needs improvement. The breakfast service did not start on time (7am) and the staff were indifferent and just hung around, talking to each other (had to be told that the complimentary coffee dispensers needed refilling). Hot breakfast containers were not labeled - required opening each one to find out what was under the cover. Small things to indicate commitment to good service clearly not evident. Wifi in rooms did not work - password not offered at time of check-in. Hotel wanted to charge a pet charge that was different from what is on website and Expedia.

Nice hotel

Posted Jun 22, 2015
It was a nice hotel but I don't think it was worth the money. Excellent staff, very clean rooms, but the amenities were not as good as I anticipated.

Wonderful location and convenient to restaurants

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Restaurant is just getting organized and should be ready shortly.
Location: Beaches, Point Pelee National Park with a museum, great restaurants, town of Leamington with many amenities. Just an ideal location. Can,t say enough.
Highly recommend this hotel for comfort, cleanliness and just the best for a good time.

Hotel with the perfect place for family fun

Posted May 19, 2015
Cons: Internet
Location: It is out of town but not far to stores and food.Birdies was a great double decker bus where you can have a perch dinner and ice cream!Great perch.
I was very glad to see a newly renovated hotel and a great place for grandkids to visit and play sports and water slides!I was pleased with my room however Internet was basically non existent.

Details

Attention to detail in cleaning was not there. There were pieces of toilet paper in under the sink from before and stayed there. Very bad wifi. Did not work the whole trip.

not worth the price

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: customer service is fine. It is clean and tidy. Many facilities.
Cons: Wi-Fi speed definitely Need a better dining facility
Location: Point Pelee National Park
The hotel is supposed to be a 'conference' hotel. It does not worth the price. The door of the washroom in my room was crooked and unable to close completely. Wi-Fi was very slow. The only restaurant available was a small bistro and bar area for refreshment, not for fine-dining. Location was pretty isolated, not within walking distance from the centre of Leamington.

Great Location for Pt. Pelee

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms and pleasant staff.
Cons: Better soundproofing on the interior windows.
Location: Very convenient (just a few kilometers) to Pt. Pelee National Park and just 10 minutes to Leamington restaurants, the ferry to Pelee Island, etc.
Currently, (mid-May 2015) the hotel is converting from the Pelee Motor Inn to become a Best Western hotel. This means that some things, like parts of the parking lot and signage, are under construction. It appears that the room we stayed in has been upgraded with new carpet, a Keurig coffee-maker, and updated bathroom. Overall, the hotel was clean, the staff was pleasant, and we were quite satisfied with our visit. The only negative relates to the design of the hotel which features a large, enclosed interior courtyard so that the rooms face inwards. This might be great for Canadian winters, but it means that things can be a bit noisy in the evenings with a crowd of kids doing their thing.
