“A Best Bet”

Very convenient to the airport, but no so close as to hear the planes. Large, well-maintained room with an excellent bed. Everything smelt fresh and clean.

“Great room! But skip the food services!”

The room/bath is very updated! Looked tons better than our friend's room at the Marriot accross the street. Location is great. Only a few rooms had the balcony, ours did not, they should be more clear about that. I wouldn't reccommend the dining services. The server rolled his eyes when I ordered Milk (sorry, I'm pregnant!), and questioned my husband when he chose to get bacon & blue cheese on his burger. When we were served, I got 2 super-mini containers of milk and no bacon on the burger. Whatever. The town of Windsor had really cute cafe's where we went for breakfast.

“Clean , comfortable room”

Our family stayed one night and we slept like a baby. We were on a long drive home to VA from Canada and our stay was great. It really gave us a chance to refuel for the rest of the trip the next day. We will definitley stay again on future trips. Thanks

“Nicely updated hotel in convenient location”

My family had a mini-reunion together in Connecticut and selected the Hilton Garden Inn for a two night stay. We were very pleased with the rooms, restaurant and bar, lobby area, and friendliness of the staff. This is a nice hotel in a convenient location.

“Very Nice!”

Although the hotel was under the construction for the renovation, the standard room was very comfortable and extremely clean. It was big enough to set up a firm King size bed, desk, sofa, and a large cabinet with coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. The interior of the room is elegant and blends in the nature of Windsor, CT. All of the hotel staff are very friendly. Based on the Expedia's discounted rate, we were able to stay two nights for one night price. Since the hotel locates on the hill of the town (but 3 minutes from the I-91), the view from the room was wonderful. We would like to visit it in the fall.

Since our trip was for attending a high school graduation, we didn't have a chance to do sightseeing.

There are many good restaurants in Hartford: DISH Bar & Grill for sea food and lamb chop locates 900 Main St. (Tel: 860-249-DISH). The Elbow Room in the West Hartford. We enjoyed dining both restaurants.

“A decent place to stay”

The hotel is clean, the room is a good size and is plushly appointed, and the area is quiet. But the beds aren't that comfortable, and the in-hotel restaurant is expensive. There aren't many restaurants in the neighborhood. To find more restaurants, you have to get back out on I-91 and go to one the commercial strips near Hartford. Over all, though, it's a decent place to stay. We were visiting the area's attractions -- the Connecticut Science Center, the New England Air Museum and the Mark Twain House, and it's a good location for that purpose.

“Easy access to downtown Hartford”

This is the third year in a row that I have stayed at this location for a conference downtown, If you want to be out of the city and don't mind the quick drive it's nice and clean and has a great breakfast room too.

“Extremely rude hotel staff!”

Extremely rude hotel Staff! The hotel itself was great: clean, neat, comfortable etc. The staff, however, were rude. Multiple times over, the staff were unfriendly. For instance, when my friend was ordering a waffle at the breakfast buffet, the chef actually said to another employee, " don't tell her about that I don't want to cook". These employees weren't even in the kitchen when this comment was made, but rather, they were several feet from us and didn't even attempt to conceal the comment. Upon checkout, I had to stand directly in front of the counter in front of the hotel staff and it took about 15 seconds before the employee looked up from her computer to assist me. She NEVER asked, "How was your stay?" She was very unhelpful and left the bill on the counter and looked back down at her computer. I had to ask her if that was my copy to keep and she unenthusiastically mumbled, "yes". She never said, "goodbye, have a nice day"...nothing. When I first approached her she did not even ask, "How can I help you?". Merely, she just stared at her computer way too long and then eventually glanced up at me and waited for me to speak first! What kind of customer service is this? I received similar attention during my check-in with a different female employee and during our dinner from a different waitstaff than during the breakfast buffet. So, as you can see this wasn't a rare occurrence in this hotel. The prices were reasonable
