Short walk to the casino!

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Overall stay was good. Not even 5 minute walk to the casino. Good, affordable place to stay if you're going to a show. Was not impress with paying 10 dollars for Parking, in the hotel parking lot??Which was not very big for the size of the hotel.

Nice and very friendly.

It was very loud until early hours of Years Day . A lot of young adults making noise . Found out they were American and can't drink in U.S. so they come to Canada . Need someone to monitor things during the night . Did not get much sleep .

River view room is great

Posted Jan 5, 2015
We have stayed a this hotel before and were satisfied with the location and the room however our last stay on New Years Eve was very unsettling. There were a number of young people there to celebrate and we expected some noise but things got out of hand. 3 times that night the fire alarm went off. Do you leave or don't you? As it turned out 3 false alarms. Not sure if people smoking in their rooms or pranks. When we checked out New Years Day the manager was very upset and offered another nights stay.

Nice downtown hotel

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Nice hotel downtown Windsor, room was very clean, but could not sleep because a group of drunk broads on our floor. I didn't care enough to complain because it happened last time we were here as well & that's why it's our last time coming here.

Pros: Close to casino, and cheaper than the casino
Cons: Rooms
Hotel rooms are dated , but some are redone , but close to the casino, parking was extra which you are parking out in the open

Go Lions

Arrived a little early and the receptionist moved a couple other reservations around to accommodate us (2 rooms) which was nice. Rooms are a little dated but comfortable. Ours came with a fridge which was a bonus as when we made the reservation they told us there would be a charge of $5.00 per day. Hotel is close to the bus terminal which was handy.

Disappointed

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: Nice view of the water.
Cons: Cleaner rooms.
Location: This location has a really nice view of the water. Casino in walking distance, though we didn't do any gambling but enjoyed breakfast there.
I am generally a very laid back person and just need a basic room to lay my head down in at the end of the night. Sadly my experience at this Travelodge was a stressful one. Arriving in Windsor for a nice night out with a friend who is getting married, along with us her bridal party, we proceeded to check in. We booked 2 rooms, the first room had no working heat, in the second room's door looked like it had been kicked in from the bottom. Not a good start. We were then moved to another room with heat, unfortunately this one had not been cleaned properly. At this point checking in has taken about an hour of our time. So again down to the front desk, where I explained about the dirty room. First reaction from the gentleman working the front desk was, "well what would you like me to do about it?" After a couple minutes of trying to reason with him, with rational conversation, as I am not a fan of confrontation, I sent another friend down to talk with him. Needless to say I will not be staying at this location again, as I feel we were treated poorly for things out of our control.
