Pros: Location
Location: Casino
Hotel was under renovations but this was not told to me when booking. The elevators were not working well so one of the hotel staff had us use the service elevator. Was hopeful of seeing the "waterfront" but had a good view of a brick wall instead. My credit card was billed more than my receipt. The automated service was not very user friendly. Had to leave a voice mail with accounting department....waiting to hear back.

Hotel at the waterfront (such an original title)

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: The view was great. The fact that there are both Coke and Pepsi vending machines is huge. The staff were excellent, very willing to put up with a lot.
Cons: Make people who try to check in early aware of any cleaning that is left over.
Location: Along the Detroit river. Close to downtown Windsor, lots of restaurants around to choose from. There's a path along the river that people walk on.
When I first walked into the hotel I was surprised at the fact that they were doing renovations. Either they didn't make it clear enough on their website that this was happening or I'm just not observant enough. I got a panoramic Queen bed room which had a great view. My one problem with the room was that the left-most window pane had not been cleaned at all which removed ~1/4 of the view behind a pile of grime. I did check in an hour early so maybe they were going to get to it before I arrived, who knows, it's not a huge issue anyways. The staff were great and very helpful in figuring out the surrounding area.

Hotel next to the river

Posted Mar 23, 2015
When we got to the hotel the hotel staff couldn't find our reservation (even with the reservation number). They didn't give us a hard time though, they gave us our room anyways. The hotel is under construction now but when it's done it's going to look really nice. The view is great from the hotel room

Room with a Fantastic View

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Central downtown location, close to dining and waterfront. World class view of city skylines and Detroit river.
Cons: Parking was $20 for one night. If hotel has an arrangement with the city lot, it was not clearly communicated.
Location: Walking distance (10 mins or less) includes many dining options, indoor water park, walking paths and parks along river front, Caesar's Windsor Casino
Booked single King room online but only had Queen upon arrival. Manager gave a free upgrade to King Suite. Wall of windows with a breath taking view of Detroit & Windsor skyline and river. Hotel lobby under renovation expected to be done end of Mar 2015. Hotel is 5 mins walk from water park & several fine restaurants including the Keg Steakhouse. Would definitely go again.
